Prime Miguel Cotto vs Shawn Porter

Ugas lost anyway, making your comparison even worse.

 

The Cotto that fought margarito 1 out points him quite comfortably 8 - 4 kinda night.
But takes alot of abuse in the process.
(Just not nearly as much abuse as vs Margarito 1)

The only conversation Porter belongs in with the name Cotto is with Jose Cotto, not Miguel

 

Exactly said, Porter nowadays could cover this topic himself on his own podcast while building an audience for it, ha.

 

shawn ud hes too fast for miguel. i like them both.

 

Everyone who knows boxing stated that Ugas won that fight. Cotto is a level above Ugas so what do you think he would do to him? Hell, I've seen people on this board favor Cotto against Spence and Crawford.

Well that is simply not true. Not everyone who saw that fight scored it for Ugas.

Ugas having a close fight with Porter doesn't say anything about if Cotto could stop Porter. Ugas is much bigger than Cotto and has a completely different style. Porter is an extremely difficult boxer to stop.

 

His name is ironic.

 

Cotto would beat Porter.

Cotto would be 50-50 with both Spence and Crawford.

 

That's what I'm saying. I actually think he has does better than both due to the fact he beat a much better fight in Margaritto.

 

More technique and better puncher, cotto lands the cleaner stuff and gets a decision

 

Cotto wins via being a better boxer. He’d counter Porter with better shots, hit Porter harder and probably just plain outsmart him.

Always been of opinion Porter ( I thought Porter edged Spence) was incredibly underrated whilst Cotto overrated.
