I honestly think this would be Roy's toughest fight at Middle I think even more than Hagler. The '96 fight doesn't prove anything really McCallum was still an OK fighter around that time but he was 40 years old. In the fight McCallum was even winning some rounds but you could see Roy had way too much respect for Mike. Roy didn't want to embaress McCallum because he was old and nothing like he use to be. So Roy laid back and won a comfortable decision. I'm not even sure I don't think Roy can win by KO/TKO because Mike had an iron chin, I think it would go to the cards in a close fight. Edit: sorry I was suppose to make this a poll, but I posted this thread before doing so. Is there any way I can still make a poll?
Did anyone ever test Roy's body? I'm drawing a blank. Besides Jones banging his body and inviting Trinidad to hit him that is. lol:
I'm all screwed up right now, I'm sorry, I know there's a way to add a poll, I'm almost certain I've done it before but I don't remember. Maybe you can only see it if it's your thread but see if there's an option by thread tools at the upper right of your initial post.
Nothing against McCallum but I just can't see how he wins this. Mike is sound technically, but no way can he catch Roy Jones, much less hurt him. RJ would run circles around him.
