Mike Tyson by knockout in less than 30 seconds. Deontay Wilder would retire right afterwards to avoid a similar fate.
A lot of delusion is right on here..lol Joshua would be Tyson's most dangerous opponent style and skill wise. Does AJ win? I'm not sure its a bit closer now where Joshua has shown he doesn't need an actual K.O and he still is an close range fighter as well. Stats say Joshua should win based on Tysons opponents and let's be real , Joshua would be by far the hardest puncher a prime Tyson came across with ability to stuff Tyson at close range.... I picked Tyson all the time..however I can't help but think this is a 50/50 fight if both came 100%.
I'd still pick Tyson, he had enough in that fight to land some decent punches although he was under prepared (in my opinion). To say Tyson had nothing at all in that fight discredits Douglas. He was still dangerous at times but Buster had the slick skills to defuse him, he had turned into a jabbing combination monster with tremendous ring generalship, something that Joshua isn't close to at this point.
Classic prime Tyson statements: 1) "They all have a plan until they get hit". 2) Re: The uppercut he hit Jesse Ferguson with..."I was trying to drive the nose bone up into the brain (a postfight TV, non-PC statement that BoxRec doesn't include in the fight overview comments)". "A combination right hook to the body, right uppercut at 2:14 of Round 5 that broke Ferguson's nose and sent him down heavily and flat on his back. He got to his feet just after the count of eight. Tyson battered Ferguson for the remainder of the round as the referee looked on closely."
What I ends to happen now on here and I’ve just witnessed it on another thread is that just cause Lennox lost twice to so and so and Tyson lost they use that as an excuse for why AJ would win but it’s all BS as the HW division as always been one of surprises given the power. Mayweather effect of having zero losses I’m afraid means very little, personally over four fights I think Tyson and AJ would share it two apiece.
I would pick AJ to beat any version of Tyson but I'd pick him to absolutely destroy the Tyson who fought Douglas and actually most Tyson's I'd pick AJ to pummel to a hump on the mat. Tyson I'd give a shot at beating Parker and would favor him over povetkin and that level fighter. Tyson myth seems to have many on here fooled into believing he was some unstoppable force when the truth is quite the opposite
Not a man born of his mother beats 85/86 Tyson. Sadly, his 36 month prime had only a shopworn Holmes and a petrified LHW to build up his CV. Joshua's Ws over Parker and Wlad <<<< any 4 Ws on Mike's ledger
a bit like believing the Joshua myth. At least Tyson's career is done and we can asses him, whether you agree with his status or not. Joshua could have a few devastating losses to come, what will you think then? You cant say with confidence that he would beat guys like Tyson at this point. Against Wlad its not like AJ looked invincible, in fact he was reeling along the ropes ready to get taken out at one point wasn't he? not to mention his last two fight where he also appeared lacking and vulnerable. He the best out there now, but these threads make me laugh. If AJ destroyed Wlad in three rounds then followed up with two more devastating wins I'd be closer to seeing your point.
Pretty sure Tyson himself admitted he'd have no chance against Joshua. People have such rose-tinted spectacles when it comes to boxing.
