Oh please, people make it seem like Lewis was getting completely dominated in those fights, he just ate some punches he didn’t see coming and dropped, happens all the time especially at heavyweight

Lennox always had the height and jab, Tyson knew that it would be a hard fight after they sparred in 1984. Tyson had trouble with Tony Tucker a fighter the same size and style but without the power. Tyson himself said he could never of beaten Lennox, see

Lewis only lost to sizeable underdogs and that was largely due to his arrogance. When a fighter had his full respect we saw how he performed and it's hard to see him underestimating a peak Tyson.

Iron Mike gets defanged by the jab, then beaten up when he's disheartened. Lewis ain't no Berbick.

Think it depends on how the first 4 rounds go Tyson liked coming out all guns blazing, if he didn't get the early ko was gassed by the 7th. Lewis wouldn't make it easy either Lennox had a great jab and ability wise was definitely the better fighter.

Mike was a beast tho direct style got to love that

I never said he was getting dominated in those two fights against Rahman and McCall. I said he got blitzed.....by a single punch.

Last time I checked, Tyson was a significantly better puncher than those two.

Hey, we're all allowed to have our own opinion, right?

Cant see a prime Mike Tyson getting "defanged" by a jab when his elusive style was centred around avoid the jab.

Not all jabs are created equal. Lewis wouldn't be freezing up and letting Tyson go on the offensive, he'd be ramming his jab down Tyson's throat as an offensive weapon to control the distance and if Tyson got too close he's getting tied up and weighed down. Then Tyson falls away in the second half of the fight.

Not sure it was so much avoiding more walking straight through and dominating the inside with flat out aggression. Worked but no one could maintain that for 12 rounds.

Tyson trained for 12 rounds so it didnt have to go 12 rounds.

Not sure if its just me but mike tyson was the best of them all. He basically chucked it away by living like an amatuer with drug and alcohol problems.

On the otherhand holyfield, lewis made the very best of themselves. But if tyson had done the same he,d have beat both of them. In the end holyfield and lewis we,re the better fighters....achieved far more over their careers and tyson only had himself to blame.

Otherwise how come tyson had all the hype coming through...far more than lewis and holyfield. Was everyone wrong? How come even today hes far more celebrated than the rest of them. Understand people dont like tyson and it went downhill for him with only himself to blame but reckon at his peak....he,d have beat them both.

The whole situation was a once in a generation scenario. A freakishly strong/powerful 14 year old turns up with no real parental unit with no other way out
...teams up with an obsessive guy that had been there and bought the t shirt knew what was needed to win the world title....trained him like a professional from 14 years old. They we,re completely obsessed with winning that title. Everything they done was about winning that title. So for the next six years they worked reletlessly on it....no real outside influences like parentals to protect the kid from it. Not only that but cus was really a boxing genius....a very flawed genius but a genius all the same. It took all that to make mike tyson what he was....i dont think even the best holyfield or lewis can compete with that...as good as they we,re.

I think Lewis would survive the early rounds and stop Tyson late or UD.
