Prime Mike Tyson vs Randy Tex Cobb

ya know, fighting a guy like Cobb, Tyson just might run out of gas throwing punches, then Randy knocks him out

 

Honestly I'd be surrised if this made it to round 3, berbick was also a durable guy but anybody can be knocked out, especially against a ATG with Tyson's firepower

 

Tyson stopped a few durable guys in his time. I don't see Cobb being any different. Maybe he escapes been floored as was Bruno but he'd end up dazed and battered ,with the ref jumping in about the 5 th .

 

Cobb would not last the distance. His face would be a mask, his head would swivel around like the Exorist girl too many times. Tyson by mid rounds tko with Tex on his feet.

 

I could envision that scenario happen against, say, Bert Cooper. But, Tyson had good enough smarts, conditioning and durability not to punch himself out before getting Cobb out of there. Even if Tyson did somehow gas out, I think he'd get his second wind and Cobb didn't have the power to capitalize before Tyson got the second win.

 

Cobb may go the distance with his terrific chin and huge size if he fought Mike like Bonecrusher did but he would not win a round and might get seriously hurt too ..

 

Agreed once again Fergy. Tyson stopped the incredibly durable Pinklon Thomas with a savage 15 punch salvo for
the first and last knockdown of his career. No knockdown but a ferocious battering with Cobb still standing as the
referee mercifully's interfere's.

 

You didn't know they actually fought? It went about as expected: Cobb's chin kept him in it for while, but when it became clear he was going to take a worse beating than Holmes gave him his corner, uh, "intervened".

Tyson knocks him out in a few rounds. in this case Tyson hit harder and better than Holmes.

 

Joe Bead: if you’re serious that Tex Cobb would knock out Tyson we have to take away your boxing man card. I know that everyone has their own opinion, but saying Cobb knocks out Tyson is beyond idiotic. Please, no more jokes in this boxing chat room.

 

Would not want to see this bout. This has potential post-fight investigation by the State Boxing Commission
written all over it.

 

Well ,Howard walked away from boxing after seeing Holmes play Bongo's on Tex's Head ,so if he saw Cobb vers prime Tyson.. He'd need therapy for life !!
