I don't think so, those two are too much dangerous for Tyson to him not being defeated at least once.
Tua is bigger and stronger , punches like a mule and has a granite chin. Add to this Tyson is going to attack him from the get go and when the bombs start flying Tua's left hook is a nuke. To defeat Tua the style is to outbox him, not engage in a shootout which Tyson would have to do.
Why would he have to? Tua couldn’t force anyone into a shoot out and he wasn’t much of an inside fighter… it’s quite possible Tyson actually takes him out in said shoot out… Tua had a chin but he could be hurt and often went into a shell, Tyson didn’t “gas out” in his prime and could box long rounds just fine, especially if they go into a shell, if fists start flying it’s more likely Tua gets rocked and stops fighting to win.
Also Ibeabuchi was a good fighter but he’s not much more then say a Ruddock type of guy… that’s an easy win, I don’t think he could be as busy as he was against a no threat like Byrd or someone as basic as Tua - you see Tua hit hard but if you had a boxing brain you’d see Tua as a left hook, cut it left, right glove up and you’ve taken away his only weapon, he’s also so predictable that Ike managed to survive that volume record breaking fight. See what happened to Dorsey outside of Paez? He’d get a beating from someone like Lennox, no way does Ibeabuchi try his mulching act against guys who could really, really fight - volume and a chin takes you only so far.
I'm not saying Tyson would lose, but this is a dangerous fight. And Tua would not have to FORCE Tyson into a brawl Tyson would come to him and in his prime Tyson didn't outbox fighters ,he knocked them out.. In 57 fights Tua was never ko'ed, Mikey can't say the same can he?
Tua had a big left hook, but so did Ruddock. You had to hit Tyson with combinations over many rounds.
Yeah but the way he knocked them out wasn’t exactly caveman style… Tyson could outbox him like the other guy who only had a left hook.
