Mayweather's resume is better than Shane's. If you disagree, then you are indeed as dim as your writing style suggests. "Get off Ho-Mo-sley's nuts".

ur funny i wish they switch resumes..mayweather would never fight forrest or wright, he would get a beat down #2 hes never dared to be great! ssm and pbf are of similiar size. You seemed to never watch ssm career while he was young much more exciting and faster than pbf, the people that all agree w/ me seen to have watched his early fights....you most have started watching boxing in the pbf era. I am surprised your still a fan because if thats who i had to watch I would never of like boxing I would of took up track! lol!

Since when did Shane EVER have lightning fast footwork? He was always a bit below par in that department IMO. That would be the difference maker in this fight, Floyd's vast advantages in effective footwork and movement. He was a better out-boxer because of it, and everyone knows I'm no Floyd fan.

Like Mosley did?? So what's your point there?

ssm and pbf are of similiar size

So? Floyd performed far better at 130 than he did at 147. Fact.

You seemed to never watch ssm career while he was young much more exciting and faster than pbf

Sorry, but I did watch Mosley's lightweight career. He looked very good, but he was not fighting very good opposition. His handspeed may have been slightly better than PBF's, but his footspeed was vastly inferior.

I would of took up track! lol!

I don't even know what this means. It's strange to be dismissed by someone who is clearly only semi-literate and about 10 years old (lol! - :-( ).

pbf didnt even want to fight dlh again

I honestly believe he couldn't get motivated for a 2nd fight. He doesn't need the money anymore, and the 1st fight was dull. After seeing the Forbes fight, I'm sure Floyd thought he would have no trouble beating Oscar next time - it wasn't an exciting challenge for him. He knew the vast majority of boxing fans were not excited by the prospect of another dull points win for him.

    prime dlh wouldve whooped pbf

As I always say, I think Floyd would beat Oscar 130-140, Oscar would beat Floyd 147-154.

pbf resumes is garbage never pushed himself at all

I agree that his resume could and should be better - but it's still way better than Mosley's.

    great win over gatti

This was actually one of his least impressive wins. The result was academic beforehand and it was too one-sided, Gatti was a sitting duck.

i wish thats who dlh an ssm had to fight to be considered greatest of all time?

Floyd Mayweather wouldn't be in my all-time top 30, maybe not even 40.

ssm jumped up an fought all the best fights he could no one is unbeatable trust me!

Mosley never unified at 135, never fought Trinidad or Quartey at 147, never fought Vargas til he was past it, never fought Tszyu and hasn't fought Margarito or Williams or Mayweather. He got some big fights yes, but to say he fought all the best is not true. I don't need to trust you, I am well aware that no-one is unbeatable - see my post regarding Mayweather-Margarito on the "Money Mayweather" thread just now for evidence.

Mosley is bigger than Mayweather. Mosley was a huge lightweight who'd enter the ring at 150. He looked fairly solid at welterweight in size, and even entered the ring the heavier man against DLH. His frame didn't look noticeably smaller than DLH, either.

That's because his opposition was weak. He'd have a decent shot at beating some of the greats at 135 because of his physical gifts and being bigger than them (different weigh-in rules), but he's become very overrated in his all-time standing at 135 based on talent/potential.

Castillo and Mosley don't fight much alike.

Lets remember Floyd at 135:JLcastillo vs PBF I
Did not look so great did he? I admit that Castillo and Mosley are very different, i would'nt favor Floyd still.
Shane was undefeated at LW and a crazy KO artist.
PBF dosen't get knocked, but loses by SD.

The main reason I'd give Mosley a shot against some of the great (more accomplished) lightweights of the past is size. He's bigger than them due to the different rules. They're not really the same size, Mosley probably would be a welterweight under the old rules. Not really a fair matchup.

But Mosley has become grotesquely overrated by many. Mosley may have been a guy who was exciting and fast and stopped his foes, but you have to look at whom he was fighting.

You think h2h that Mosley would beat Arguello or Chavez at 135? I just cannot see that happening at all.

What you fail to realize is that PBF's workrate at 130 and 135 was much more than it is at 147 or 154. He threw alot more punches at that weight as well as combos. I doubt Mosley would simply outwork him to a win especially since PBF would give him hell with his footwork and defense and his workrate would drop. PBf has the styles advantage in this matchup.:deal
