Muhammad Ali by 9-6 UD... his quicker hands see him beating Holmes to the punch for the majority & quicker & better footwork keeps him out of range for enough of the fight to build & keep his lead.

Ali would have timed a pinpoint right hand over Holmes jab and rocked Larry or stopped him. I see Ali winning and possibly going for the stop depending on how much Holmes got his goat. Larry was a sucker for right hands and Ali had one of the best lead rights over the jab. My guess would be RSC for Ali

  6. no offence but you are ridiculous:rofl:rofl, prime ali was 1964-67, when ali was 24 holmes was 16/17. holmes was a good sparring partner for ali 70s, not prime ali, and sparring is not real fight.( i can to say past prime frazier kicked the ass of holmes when he was his sparring partner). i think that even ali 74-75 would beat prime holmes by ud.

  7. by ud you know **** on boxing :rofl:rofl.

berbick, smith, spoon, snipes were competent against holmes...

ali was faster with hands and foot, ali had more stamina, better chin, more heart, more confidence, better reflexes, he was stronger mentally, prime holmes weighed 209 against norton and 210 against shavers. ali weighed 212 against liston and he was younger than prime holmes .
holmes just had more hitting power. it is not matter, liston, foreman, frazier, norton, cleveland williams.. were much harder punchers than holmes

  8. i agree absolutely,i can´t understand these persons

ali can do everything that larry can do, better than him.
ali was never heavy on his sparring partners and because larry managed to get the better of ali in some of their later sparring sessions means nothing.
ali by a wide margin over 12 or 15

Ali UD, his lightning fast handspeed, insane headmovement reflexes, legendary ring IQ (obviously greatly aided by Dundee) & beautiful "dancing" lateral movement make him almost impossible to outbox.

I predict scores of 8-4 for 12 rounds or 10-5 for 15 rounds.

Ali wins for the sole reason that when he was at the top of his game and all things being equal, nobody would beat him. Im not suggesting it would be easy ,not at all, but Ali would find a way.

Holmes always tried to copy Ali's footwork, but could never match it. Holmes was also very temperamental and could easily have his pride hurt and lured into a brawl. Obviously Holmes would be the aggressor in this fight and have Ali fighting off the backfoot, but Ali would counter Holmes and clinch whenever Holmes would connect with the right. Holmes would take Ali's power for granted and would get surprised late into the fight. I think Holmes would control the first half while Ali the second, looking more impressive. Holmes had the bigger right hand and stronger jab, but Ali had the sneakier one and I bet it would land alot flusher too. Ali by SD.

well actually this one is quit easy to predict........
the jab........ that is the only thing holmes has over ali. both had great jabs but holmes jab was a bit better
all the rest ali is better then holmes. larry had a great chin but ali's was better.
speed... i'd say ali. power.... ali. ali's power is sometimes underrated.
etc. etc. probably a pretty boring fight to watch. where ali wins with a solid UD
