Prime Muhammad Ali vs Prime Rocky Marciano

Marciano had the speed, twitch, balance and agility of a 12 year old in an iron lung.

Bonavena is a rich man's Marciano, just born into a much tougher era.

 

Bonavena did not have the chin,will, aggressiveness, power and heart of Marciano, he was seen as poor mans Marciano.

Marciano balance was bad yet Ali was dropped much more by some average or even worse fighters.

 

Ali is too big and strong and fast for Marciano and would cut him up and stop him inside of 10 rounds due to cuts. Only chance for marciano is for Ali to come into fight out of shape. Marciano was a great fighter but in a different time period

Bonavena had 68 fights and faced some really good boxers like Ali, Frazier, and Patterson, and was only stopped once and that was in the 15th round. He actually dropped Frazier twice. He doesn’t have Marciano's reume but his chin and will is beyond question. Oscar was fearless and he was a bad ass.
