Why does Naz get a pass for the Barrera fight as if he were 35 and addicted to drugs? I don't think that fight would have been different if it were 3 years earlier, Naz just ran into a guy who could outbox him and he had no Plan B. Would he have had a Plan B a few years earlier?

    here is the bottom line:

Naz was a Glass Jawed fraud with no heart who did not fight anyone and when he did he was embarrassed and quit the sport.

A prime Barrera would win by a score of 116-111 and 115-112 on two score cards. Over a prime Hamed. I would also pick Morales, Marquez, Pacquiao, to beat him as well. However he certanly has the speed and power to prove me wrong.

Morales was hurt by MAB because he was hit very hard, very often. He still never went down. And the Morales that was stopped by Pac isn't the Morales we're talking about on this thread. Prime Morales had an unbelievable chin.

If McCulloch could take them, Morales was a far better boxer and would get hit far less often, so he would likely survive too.

Maybe the key factor in prime for prime Morales Hamed is wherether or not Morales decided to slug it out.

Naz losses to all of them, and rather eaily I believe. Both JMM and Morales would give him more problems than MAB, leading to late stoppages. Pac vs. Naz at 126 would have been a banger, Manny was still raw aggression so he could get caught though I still would see a victory for him.

I said something similar a while back, got my head chewed off.
Fought a few good fighters, didn't like getting beat and quit.

Guy could have, should have been so much more....
If only he learned to adapt.

And yes, he loses to all 4.

Agreed. The only reason I give Naz a decent chance against EM is because EM might not be able to resist a punching war. He could box him all day, every day and come out on top.

Ive seen about 15 Naz fights and lesser fighters took multiple shots from Naz and managed to survive.

People forget that before Pac, Morales chin was seen as pretty much indestructible, he was never KD yet alone KO'd. I refuse to believe that Pac & MAB can land that many bombs and fail to even KD him (until he was either exhausted or over the hill 3rd fight) and Naz is suppose to KO him with 1 punch? A bit of overestimating.

Id compare Naz power at FW to Tyson at HW, sure some would fall but a few elite chins would take a few of those bombs.

I dont rate JMM chin on MAB's level. Morales hit MAB with some absolute bombs and the guy wouldn't fall, MAB hits JMM with a clean good shot and JMM falls. Same as when JMM was hit by a clean but not exactly a bomb shot from Pac in the 3rd round.

Naz hit scary hard. Give the man his due. If you disagree, you need to watch him fight Augie Sanchez.

At one point in the MAB fight I remember MAB putting both arms up in front of his face, Naz got frustrated at not hitting him and sent a straight left directly into his forearms with all he had. You could hear it echo clean thru the stadium. Crazy.

Morales was knocked down before Pac and he was rocked several times in different fights.

That being said I dont think Naz would knock him out with one blow, he had a very chin and a pretty good boxing IQ when it was needed.
Though its not outside the realm of possibility that he could stop him, as there are several guys I would pick to stop Erik.

Perhaps not. But the main point with JMM is not an indestructable chin, it's the fact that he was able to get up, recover, and dish out a ton of punishment.
