I'm newish to both fighters, from viewing their fight I honestly thought it could have gone either way...If Oscar hadn't gassed I see him winning it. I prefer ODH as a fighter, but PBF's skills cannot be denied. I give Oscar a good chance in the re match it seems that he lost the 1st more due to himself than what Floyd did to him, tho admitedly he was getting caught. In their Primes who wins??

    Oscar wins.

However PBF will win the rematch. ODLH is a shell of his former self.

So those saying Floyd is one of, if not the best ever are just plain wrong? or was Oscar that good?

More of just a size and power difference more than just Oscar being that good. Mayweather is a much more talented fighter than DLH was. Which is always awesome to think that an older Pernell Whitaker gave a super prime version of DLH all he could handle and IMO should have won. And then looking back even though I think Floyd clearly won he had all he could handle from an old DLH. Goes to show what type of beast Whitaker was.

No semi-knowledgable boxing fan would say anything like that. The ridiculous nuthuggers on this site will say such things, and the teenagers who know nothing about boxing history, but as it stands, Floyd is around #40 all time P4P on my list. Many find even that to be generous.

Oscar. The De La Hoya that lost to Mosley at 147, beats Floyd Mayweather.

Floyd would duck ODLH in his prime but if they did meet, expect Floyd Jr run around in the ring...

ODLH UD or late round TKO wouldnt be out of the question...

    What are you on:huhDLH didn't reach his "super-prime" for another 2-3 years!:nono

Neither DLH nor Whitaker were prime in that fight!

I scored that fight a draw, and feel that prime-for-prime, DLH/Whitaker would still be a close fight:deal
