boxing is a young mans sport and there ain't **** that DLH would have done to better his chances against a past prime Whitaker.

Just switch the roles because if Pernell Whitaker were the young gun and Oscar de la hoya was the old ass in that fight Whitaker would have mopped Oscar across that ring from post to post in an all out obliteration, something Floyd completely failed to do.

Lol. Oscar is only 4 years older then Floyd if that. A 30 year old Floyd beats a 30 year old Oscar. A 25 year old Floyd beats a 25 year old Oscar. A 2 year old Floyd beats a 2 year old Oscar. As far back as you want to Floyd beats Oscar de La Hoya every time.

De La Hoya would win via points.

The first fight was a close fight. A younger DLH would be too much for
    Mayweather.

Close fight my ass. If you actually believe Oscar fought Floyd to an SD I got a bridge to sell you.

Floyd actually has to respect Oscar's power at 154, lets say prime for prime 140, whats Oscar gonna do? Outbox him?

Oscar's power at those lower weights was stupendous. Where do you think he racked up all those knock outs on his resume?:lol::lol:

1999 Oscar is quicker handed and footed I dont see why he wouldnt beat Floyd as long as he sticks to his jab. Hell I think hes going to beat him in September. Mayweather isnt god and he sure as **** aint unbeatable.

He didn't beat an older De La Hoya easy at 154. And I realize that was at 154 and obviously not Floyd's best weight, but take a younger De La Hoya who had much more handspeed, snap, and bounce in his step and you've got yourself a highly competitive fight.

The Jab the Jab The Jab The Jab The Jab. Maybe if Golden Boy and his fans say that enough it will actually one day be the reason he lost the last fight.

Judah was doing so well for the first 4 rounds of his fight
Oscar was doing so well for the first 4 rounds of his fight
Hatton was doing so well for the first 4 rounds of his fight.

Did it ever occur to yous people that we have a pattern here, and its not the other fighting failing to stay focused, its just that Mayweather puts it on your ass from the middle of the fight on once he figures you out?

Floyd is a better fighter P4P, but Oscar is a very talented fighter with a lot of size and reach on him -- not to mention a great left-hand with which he can pry open PBF's defense from long range.

A younger, lighter, fleeter-footed Oscar wins via a close UD prime for prime.
