pacquiao absolutely decimated dlh. i'm not sure a fighter as one handed or one dimensional as dlh can ever overcome the angles, speed and relentless attack that pacquiao brings, regardless of his age.

ODH landed more, landed harder, and was the agressor. ( So did Paq-man) He won the fight. Mayweather is not nearly as good as people think he is.

Castillo, ODH straight beat him, One other came close ( Maidana) , and even Zab Judah had him until he gassed out.

Mayweather is very overated. big chery picker like Leonard, and his legacy will always suffer for it.

Here is the direct stats
tallied 587 punches thrown by De La Hoya to Mayweather’s 481. However, reports stated that Mayweather’s punches were far more accurate. His 43% connection percentage was more double than De La Hoya’s 21. Regardless of the stats, Astorias Boxing posted a round by round highlights of the fight which fairly stated all the significant punches landed by both boxers. Based on the video summary, De La Hoya threw and landed more significant punches than Mayweather.

Rememeber - ODH was all but shot already as well. This would not even be an argument if ODH was prime. He wins with relative ease.

Mayweather being sold as undefeated is one of the most outlandish misconceptions in boxing history.

I do believe in awarding rounds for making the fight, but only when the defender is showing no interest in offense and is staying at a large distance. Someone who throws 481 punches and outlands their opponent is holding up his end of the fight.

I saw the video you posted about the significant punches. I didn't find it convincing but I think that's where the case would have to be made, that Oscar's punches were of a higher quality.

Younger Oscar could have done more but maybe that would have only opened up more counter opportunities.

Versus Pacquiao there would have been more improvement. It would have been an amazing fight to watch. I think Oscar would have won, but if they fought a series Pac would take one eventually.

Artorias is an idiotic Filipino racist and his videos are pure garbage. He scores tap punches or punches barely missing as scoring punches when those are against the fighters he hates (Mayweather, Canelo, Rigondeaux, and all other slicksters except for when they fight Canelo). Balder is an idiot too.

He actually missed a couple great body punches from Oscar which I found weird because, as you said, he was counting a lot of random stuff.

I like that he actually went through the film and pointed at what he was seeing though. I would do the same except I'm too lazy to do everything I have to do much less anything else.
