Don't know. A flush left hook from welter Oscar would have been much more devastating than Cotto's left hook, and Cotto had a good one. But Oscar had a deadly one. It could have been 12 rounds of the first 2 rounds of the Cotto/Pac fight or Pac, being a speedy southpaw could have burnt circles around Oscar. This is a tough one to call. A couple of years ago I would have said Oscar for sure but now things are a bit different.
Yey my opinion on the way the fight would turn out has changed, but my opinions on who would have won haven't. Before I thought Oscar would knock him out by the Mid rounds, but now I can see Manny lasting the distance and giving Oscar a good fight but Oscar would use his Jab and outbox Manny and probably score a knockdown but Manny would definitly do his share of damage and I think he would come on late to make it close Oscar wins this by a close but convincing decision with the knockdown erasing any possible controversy Oscar 115-113.
^ That but I dont think a KD needs to be the difference...I feel a quicker, fitter, more mobile, younger, less weight drained and generally overall better Hoya would be able to pull out a hard fought win. Manny's speed and style will still give him trouble fa sho.
A lot of Pacman fanatasy match-up talks tonight. Ill reserve my observation for this one but will state the obvious Pacquiao has a better resume, legacy and is a higher ATG than DLH by far. Bazooka I hope to God you are reading this.
no, he even commented the day before the fight he will stay to give his props but never did. I actually wont be surprised if he came back and flip-flopped into a Joy Boy.
He does not have as many losses as Manny but his career isnt over yet,and if he fought Whittaker,Quartey,Mosley2x,Vargas,Tito,Hopkins,Mayweather and a mirror image of himself while being drained by weight loss I have a funny feeling we wouldnt even be having this discussion!
he must be nursing his wounds. thats what happens when you deny someones greatness by nitpicking on his resume and when proven wrong right before his eyes he could not take that fact.
I'd take Pacquiao on pts. Hoya is overrated. Most his wins were against small dudes coz he stands 5'10 1/2. ANd Pac is shawt but hella quick and can make Oskie eat punches all day..
What do you mean "by far"? Don't forget, Oscar's name is holding up Pac's latter resume to some degree and Hoya's win over Chavez was better than Pac's win over Hoya, for starters DLH had NO TITLE to his name at the time of his last fight.
