LOL at Joshua doing anything better than Bowe, hilarious. Bowe was a fast and fluid boxer who threw combos and liked to mix it up, Joshua is a stiff puncher who tires out throwing more than 1 punch at a time, he does amateurish feints and hesitates before he throws and ran Usyk close.

Bowe is probably the worst stylistic match up for Usyk out of any HW champion in history. A smaller man who is featherfisted and a counter puncher. Bowe would have a field day throwing combos from the inside and outside without absorbing destructive punching power in return since Usyk throws a lot of arm punches compared to Holyfield who put his full bodyweight in his combinations. Bowe would happily match Usyks punch output, he like getting into a brawl, I don't know how Usyk can win by decision and he has less of a chance by knockout. Bowe might finish this late, with Usyk absorbing a lot of punishment.

These are just a different caliber of heavyweight champions

Absolutely, Bowe all wrong for Usyk. Fold him up.

Whenever you hear "Holyfield outboxed him, so you know boxer X could." they're on the wrong track. Like "Holyfield took Bowe into deep water, so you just know Frazier would knock him out." Wrong. That's a rule of thumb.

I'd say the opposite, Usyk is all wrong for Bowe.

Bowe was a monster on the inside, being a super heavy with tremendous inside skills. But his jab is overrated, out jabbed by Biggs and Holyfield. He relied on smaller guys to come to him, which the smaller man usually does, but when his opponents showed any movement he struggled as we saw vs Tubbs, Golota and in the Holyfield rematch. Bowe has terrible mobility, he was a plodder in comparison to Usyk, he'd never be in position long enough to land any combo's. He'd be left swinging and missing much like Joshua.

Yes Bowe is better than Joshua, I've always seen Joshua as an inferior version of Bowe, good inside for a super heavyweight but poor movement like Bowe. Bowe's superior chin and work rate would make it a tougher fight for Usyk than AJ but Usyk would still be the one left victorious at the final bell, winning a clear UD.

^ Fool who can't tell the difference between a guy trying to slug (Holyfield) and a guy trying to box (Usyk). There's little to be learned here, because Usyk simply doesnt fight like Holyfield.

 Wtf are you talking about, you completely disregarded everything that I said and made this about Holyfield. No **** Usyk doesn't fight like Holyfield, where did I say anything different? The fact that Usyk doesn't fight like Holyfield and holds far less power is exactly why it would be easier for Bowe to deal with, he'll eat those arm punches up for breakfast to land his own.

I think I have discovered the flaw in your thinking. Lead-foot Bowe is gonna have a job landing much on Usyk at all.

Yeah okay buddy, please enlighten us on how Anthony Joshua is a better boxer than Riddick Bowe. The guy can't throw two punches in a row without needing a lung machine.

Joshua throws straight punches and is able to set them up from behind the jab. Joshua also has better defence than Bowe who never met a punch or a burger he didn't eat. Bowe telegraphs his punches more which makes avoiding the incoming easier. Yeah Bowe has better stamina than AJ. That's relevant if you're piling up the damage through a bout. I don't think Bowe will pile up much damage at all. Granted I don't think Usyk hits as hard as Holyfield but even there, looks can be deceptive. Usyk has a way of timing people coming in and of slicing though a defence that amplifies his punches.

Disagree on mostly everything you said besides AJ having a straighter right hand than Bowes, AJ also has more destructive 1 punch power but that's about it. Bowe would often do a looping right hand while AJ threw straighter more textbook right hands. For one, Joshua is extremely slow, his jab is more of a pawing jab, it's weird how you say Bowe telegraphs shots when that's exactly what AJ does, have you ever seen him fight? Usyk throws a lot of arm punches, stop it bro.

The only way Bowe beats his ass is if Usyk has a personality transplant and becomes a flat footed dummy that has lead feet, no head movement, no distance control and stands right in front of Bowe looking to trade. Then yeah, I agree Bowe would win, since he specialized in beating up smaller guys than him that wanted to brawl.

Usyk despite the size disadvantage would be just too clever for Bowe. The ring IQ would be the difference. Usyk is very consistent with his performances unlike Bowe. Usyk UD
