You have taken the thread and stretched it, something that is simply silly.

isn't it a bit early to assume anything about whether or not valero is at or near his prime in terms of athletic ability and boxing skill? the kid still has, in my opinion, a lot of proving to do...and a lot of time and room to get better and reach another level before peaking. that said, freitas was an excellent fighter, busy, strong, good power in both hands...but he had a dodgy chin, seriously dodgy, and, much as it pains me to cast a vote for valero who i am not a fan of and don't buy into the hype about, i think that if valero landed a few bombs, even after being outboxed and outfoxed for a while, even a prime freitas would go down and stay down or quit on his stool.

Or get KTFO. He couldn't stay on his bike for twelve against Valero.

Popo is one of the most under-rated fighters on ESB.

im not so sure valero has even come into his prime yet, so he might be much better or worse than were currently seeing him.

but id still give the current valero the edge. freitas got koed by corrales and quit against juan diaz. i guarantee valero hits harder than diaz, so id imagine valero would ko freitas, maybe even quicker than chico.

Valero has a record based on beating tomato cans so it is difficult to compare him with a proven champion.

POP by ko. people forget how much of a beast he was at 130 and he could stop a clock with his power it wasn't until Saurez got him and changed up his style for the worse.

i've seen valero . but a prime popo would ko him in a 5 round war. popo could crack.

and to mention the chico fight has nothing to do with this fight 2 totally different style's chico is adifferent kind of monster then valero.

and the diaz fight was pretty bad but at that time pop had no heart left and he was still going pretty good with Diaz

I think the OP needs to specify what weight they would fight at.

Prime Valero is or will be at 135.

Prime Popo was obviously at 130.
