This fight was suppsed to be the last one for Oscar to retire since he was
declining and getting old. Your logic is saying that there is no difference between a young man and an old one. What a way of reasoning !

No your completely missing my point. My point was Floyd was adjusted to Oscar Jab and was countering his jabs with counter right, resulting in Oscar becoming hesitant and stop using his Jab. My point was to counter guys claiming Oscar in his prime would Jab more and win because if your getting your jab countered, its going to make you hesitant to throw regardless of your age.

Yea but that was old slow Oscar. And even if Floyd counters Oscar over the jab it won't do ****. Oscar took BOMBS from Quartey and Mosley, Trinidad, and Vargas. Shots that stopped and ruined Margarito, and Oscar ate them like they were his birthday cake being delivered by his hookers :deal

I had Floyd, 7-4-1. It was closer than "*****s" like to realize. Oscar's defense was underrated that night. Floyd beasted late and won like he was favoured to. Congrats.

But if it was the Oscar that beat up Chavez was put up against the Floyd that beat up Gatti, Oscar would have been the favourite there.

Floyd wouldnt hurt or be able to keep ODH off him.

I remember the shots they took.

The Trinidad fight is a perfect example of how Dela Hoya and Trinidad in there Prime would beat Floyd.

Well we have had our different arguments but as you can see even though Im a Pacquiao fan I can be one that just is not purely that.

I enjoy all fighters and I have become a huge fan of Rigo he has made me a fan.

Also I hate HATE how Floyd fans forget just how good the lighter guys were back in the 90's.

Floyd has just benefited from a not so great era at that weight right now.

Agreed on all counts man. Nothing wrong with defending your fighters, we all do it. Floyd has benefitted from a weaker era that is for sure, mainly to his advantage. But I'm a fan of all 3, I just feel in a head to head fight Oscar has the better technical tools to decision Floyd.

Floyd would just be too defensive and Oscar would go to work.

Yeah, because JCC is anything like Floyd, in respects to movement and defense. :patschFact is you get tired more when you miss and Floyd would make ANY Oscar miss. If it was theoretical 'at their best weights' I think more than likely wins it on his clearly superior defensive skills and his stamina which provides him the ability to move and box if needed. Just as there was nothing Tito could do to not get out boxed by the superior boxer, I also feel the same way about this match up. I just feel that his physical gifts would allow him to escape any size advantage Oscar would have on him.

Floyd buckled the **** out of Hoya at one point in their fight. De La Hoya wouldn't walk through Floyd.

I think Floyd would win because he is the smarter fighter. De La Hoya would have to adjust. Floyd is not going to keep getting hit with a jab all night. If the fight is a chess match. Floyd wins. Also Tito would get out boxed.

WTF did you even watch those fights.

At all did you even see how fast Oscar was back then or even how great Chavez's chin truely was.

Mate obviously your another Floyd nuthugger thats using either a alt ego or just a plain idiot that has never watched Dela Hoya earlier on in his career.

Anyone would think with some of these idiotic floyd fans that he can be hit.

    Its just so ****ing untrue.

**** a real decent version of Floyd has shown holes in his game in fights against

Castillo 1 (were i feel this fight was a draw at best for Floyd)
Judah (he lost and was getting hit constantly the first 4 rounds)
Del Hoya (the old version pressed the pace and this fight was close)
Augustus ( this fight was close until the 7th round)
Castillo 2 (it was close but Floyd won but he did it tough)
Mosley (Now this was a old version and he caught Floyd Flush)
Cotto (got hit more than in any other fight i can remember since JLC)

Now Floyd has been showing holes throughout his career and i felt Castillo showed the way on how to beat Floyd.

With constant Pressure not stop coming forward and we all seen how much more he outlanded Floyd.

    It was 3 times.

Well go watch the full version of a Dela Hoya fight.

He is a way way better version of Castillo with a sort of similar style.

Ive watched the Castillo 1 fight more than 10 times and at best I have it a draw for Floyd but as he was outlanded 1 to 3 by Castillo I had the fight 116-112 Castillo

He just didnt do enough at all.

Which i felt most fighters over his career have not Pressured him they have let him sit back.

Dela Hoya would never let this happen.

Typical Floyd fans making out like he is some sort of GOD in the Ring.

When he has never fought a

    Prime Hall of Famer

Probably like Ive said the only Prime guys

    Floyd has faced
    were
    Corrales (his best Win)
    and Castillo
(but many said he lost the first fight)
Hatton was just past prime but close)
Go through every other fight in Mayweather career and
    None were at there Prime.
    Not Hernandez
    Not Gatti
    Not Mitchell
    Not Judah
    Not Mosley
    Not Cotto
    Not Dela Hoya
    Not Marquez

Now even though he didnt quiet get the wins they were close.

    Prime Trinidad
    Prime Hopkins
    Prime Pacquiao
    Prime Mayweather

    Past Prime wins include

I seem to remember that most of these fighters were guys that the pundits wanted to see Floyd fight (especially Mitchell and Judah, I remember those two specifically). I can tell you this... If he didn't fight them, people would definitely be saying he ducked them.
