He fought DLH at 140, the same weight he beat TAYLOR, CAMACHO, HAUGEN, and fought WHITAKER AT at and had been at that weight since 1989 which proves you know NOTHING about boxing. Chavez was fighting at 140 in the 80s. He beat most of the great opponents there. He wasn't above his natural weight

 

He might have looked better at lightweight, but he wasn't fighting the likes of Taylor, Camacho, or Haugen at lightweight neither. He wasn't above his natural weight at 140.

The best win on his roster and his best performance came at LW, against the monstrously hard hitting Rosario, where he put on an offensive and defensive showcase. He never looked that good (unless his massacre of the overmatched Terrence Ali at 140) above or below 135. While Camacho, Taylor and Haugen are all fancy names, Camacho's best days where far behind him and he had morphed into a relatively ineffective fighter compared to hos earlier days, Taylor for the most part look Chavez's equal when he clearly wasn't and Haugen just...wasn't on the same level.

Chavez maybe one of the best 140 and 130 boxers to lace them up, but he wasn't as good there as he was at 135.

 

The same way he beat Whitaker (I know whitaker and Floyd have completely different styles) but Oscar would just push Floyd back and pressure him, keeping him on defense like he kept pea.

The one handed thing is a complete myth, it might not have been as grossly over-powered as his left but its operational use in his offense can't be over-looked. He proved he could win fights with it and did so against a man who should have won fighter of the decade (in my opinion) and was to 3 pound for pound at the time.
