Prime Pac vs Fab four- how many of the four could Pac have beaten?

Isal is a weird ass chick. She hates Pacquiao, has repeatedly called Pacquiao a drug cheat for years, yet gives a free pass to Floyd, JMM, and Carnelo.

Hating Manny Pacquiao, boxing's ultimate warrior, just makes no sense.

 

Well I do include the late 90's and early 00's. It's the two decades, 20 years, I am talking about.

Let's forget the H2H for a moment, was Pacquiao better than the Fab 4? I say yes, absolutely. Would he have beaten them in a fight? Size is perhaps too much. But the thread starter opened this discussion as if it was not a huge deal. One have to carefully look at this before giving an educated answer. Pacquiao was 5'5. Ray Leonard was 5'10 ! Hearns was a tall 6'1 ! Duran 5'7 and Hagler a big middleweight 5'9.

Regarding the prime of Pacquiao, I believe Pacquiao prime starts after his lost to Morales then he step his game up for a good 6 years when he has beaten everyone in his path: Morales twice, Marquez twice, Cotto, Margarito, De La Hoya, Barrera, Hatton and Mosley. Whether some of them were past it doesn't really matter giving the kind of performance Pacquiao achieved.

Duran is the only guy close to Pacs size. I like PAC in that fight. The other guys are bigger but at 147, PAC would give SRL and Tommy a run for the money. One thing is certain, old PAC would beat the 40 year old versions of all of those guys. Duran at 40 was a sloppy mess, SRL couldn’t fight at 40 and Hagler hung it up in his early 30s and had already slowed down. Old Tommy packed on a lot of muscle late and was too big for PAC when he was older.

At his advanced age, PAC is an amazing fighter. He’s still pretty fast, looks good and can still fight at a high level. The guy is a freak of nature and an ATG. I don’t care if he’s medically enhanced, he’s doing things that have never been done in the ring. He has a mountain of money but still puts his life on the line against top guys. Wish Crawford has half of manny’s guts.

I agree that Hagler has a better jab, but Manny has always ALWAYS taken away an opponent's jab courtesy of his laser lead left and right hook counter over the jab, all the while giving up height and reach advantage.
I think we are underestimating Manny's tools here again, not to mention I think Manny has far better foot and hand speed over Marvin.
I think if you shrink Hagler into Manny's size, Manny will arguably win.
Now Hearns on the other hand, I just can't see Pac winning that one.
In the same way I don't see Manny winning a 15-rounder against Duran, but has the tools to flash KD the former in the early rounds.
SRL is an intriguing fight, in that you don't know which version of SRL will show up. He can beat Manny in the same way Mayweather did, or he can lose to Pac in the same way he did vs Duran.
Thing is, unlike Duran who is a beast on the inside, Pac's a middle-distance operator, so that could play into Leonard's hands, which is why I don't give Pac much of a chance against SRL either.

Hagler wasn`t slow at all, I think you`re confusing prime Marvin with the Hagler that fought Mugabi and Leonard, Manny never fought a fighter on Marvin`s level aside from Floyd.

 

DLH got hit tons by Forbes, his reflexes were completely shot in that fight.

 

Hagler was better than Jones who was floored by Dell Valle at 168. Manny wasn`t as powerful as Hearns at welter and wasn`t quicker than Leonard nor was he more accurate than Hagler or Duran.
