I just want to throw this out there before they sign the fightm (if ever they get it signed). Some are saying that floyd has lost his legs, and showed it fighting mosely. While some are saying the pac will now feel the effects of all the brutal fights he had since he started boxing. Is a prime pac fighting a prime floyd ans vice versa?
I think Pacquiao is in his prime skill-wise, but not at his prime weight. I think Mayweather is clearly past his prime.
I just erased two paragraphs of rambling. Reducing it to, neither are in their physical prime. No way.
roll: Not surprised coming from a hardcore Ward fan.. lolz " Most people dont know **** about boxing " I think he's talking about you.
:deal I think Mayweather is definitely past his prime...but his ring IQ is that great that I don't think we will see him grow old in the ring...unless he continues on until some stupid age. In my opinion...Pacquiao's at the tail end of his prime...but as the above says, skill-wise he is still very much in his prime.
Floyd has lost a little bit physically yes, but he is so smart in the ring you can still consider him in his prime. Pacquiao seems pretty prime to me.
They are both still in their prime, let's not find another way to discredit Floyd's upcoming victory. Pacq is as juiced as ever! Floyd is as smart as ever! This is each mans game so they are both prime.
I'm leaning towards a Pacquiao win, but it will detract little from it for me that Mayweather is not prime.
Prime Floyd= Diego Corrales at 130 2001-Arturo Gatti at 140 2005 Prime Pacquiao=Erik Morales at 130 2005-Ricky Hatton at 140 2009 IMO(this is debatable) Both are pretty much still at the top of thier game, but mayweathers speed and reflexes have slowed alot since his young physical prime, although hes stil winning cause hes so smart and skilled. We're just guessing when Pacquiao is gonna slow down, and assuming cause almost no fighter goes as long as he does with so many tough fights. I just called 2009 the end of his prime cause hes not at an optimum weight class but besides that he looks as good as ever. They will be about as prime as Leonard and Hagler were for thier fight IMO.
Floyd is an intelligent boxer. His prime must be judged by his mind.Particularly while he is still an athlete. Pacq has no mind. His prime must be judged by whether or not he wins.If he loses he is past his prime,if he wins he is filling in at welterweight.Which ever one makes him look better.
