Don't know, but Bute would have cleaned them out. Ward refused to fight in tournament unless he got all his fights in his home town and he did not want Bute to be allowed to fight in tournament either. Why does he have so much power?

Maybe because he's an undefeated olympic Gold medalist who Showtime wanted to groom as their darling?? He really didnt want bute to be in the super6? Where did u hear this?

He spent almost all of his career at LHW or even cruiser. His best years were at LHW.

A super 6 LHW at that time would possibly have had people like RJJ, Tarver, Johnson, Adamek, Dawson - and then we include Briggs.

RJJ clearly outboxes him to a lopsided victory.
Dawson fight is ugly like Dawson/Johnson I. Dawson gets the win unless Briggs catches him with a nasty surprise.
Tarver fight has it's moments, but Tarver would be favourite to win.
Johnson fight had the potential to be good. Briggs may win.
    Adamek fight is FOTY candidate.

Briggs was one of the biggest punchers in LHW at the time, so he also had the puncher's chance in most of those fights.

wouldnt have made much noise at 168..not for him...

needs the strength and power he carries at 175 or did at least.

not sure what he is doing fighting a very strong healthy Danny Green after a 3-4 year lay off

He wouldn't have done very good, as he was always susceptible to getting outboxed.

It isn't easy to say how he would go against a slick boxer. He never really faced a top one.

He would have done about the same Danny Green did at 168. He is a strong couragious guy who could have mixed it with Andrade, Siaca, Miranda, Bika, and Danny Green.

Assuming he could have made 168 without his performance suffering (which is unlikely), I think he'd have a tough time. Froch-Briggs would have been a close, great war, but I'd give the edge to Froch. He might have done well against Abraham on aggression and having a good chin. He would have outslugged Green. Ward, Kessler and Dirrell all outbox him.
