GG pulls back with his hands down...he'd be in Pavlik's wheel-house all night.

Kelly fights off the back foot.
GG fights off the front foot.

GG would be a sitting duck .

I think Kelly beats GGG and stylistically is a good match up for him. Kelly is a long tall guy with a good jab good chin and great power. He would find a home for his jab and no doubt hit him with his big right hand. I think Pavlik would back GGG up through out the fight and beat him up.

It would be like a modern Monzon-Hagler fantasy match-up :)

2007 - 2008 K.P was a beast. dude has 31 years old right now and if he'd have been a disciplined and dedicated fighter he could've achieved lots of big things in boxing.

Kelly's only hope in this would have been his jab which was highly predicteble.
Both Hopkins and Martinez took it away easily, now you think someone who has a boxing background like GGG would not be able to do the same?

    People here are insane.
Look at what happened when Donaire got caught vs someone with great fundamentals.
GGG has multiple facets to his game and is able to switch things up when he needs to, Pavlik has 1 gear and 1 style, disrupt it and hes done.

GG can't switch shi.t...all he can do is plow foreward.

Pavlik was a 25 y/o Champ with a resume that makes fun of GG's meager accomplishments.

GG pulls-back with his hands down...you can't do that with Pavlik....or even Chavez jr:lol:

    Pacman...falls-in with his hands down.
    GG....falls-out with his hands down.

Pac landed on his face when his flaws caught up to him....
GG will land on his back when his chickes come home to roost.

If GGG can accomplish half of what Pac has, he'll have inflicted more butthurt on you than you can handle

How long would Stevens and Macklin have lasted with the likes of Pavlik and Taylor ?
Prime Pavlik would have been too big, too heavy handed, and too strong willed for the present version of GGG.

Where is Boo ? he'd have all the answers to this question.

Hard to take a alt troll seriously that manages to put in more posts in 3 months than i did in 7 years.

But i will enjoy seeing you eat **** while GGG keeps racking up the wins while you make excuses every time he beats someone you will say beats him.

i am a 3g fan...but who has he fought where he had to "switch things up." rosado? proska? he hasnt fought anyone and the problem is there really isnt anyone at mw for him to prove himself again. if and when sergio comes back maybe but the sergio that beat pavlik and williams aint walking in the door ever again.

he doesnt move like martinez and hopkins so that's not a very good analogy. he's not hard to find. this isnt a walk in the park like you think is.

Watch some of his amateur fights, and i know i know amateurs is not the pro ranks.
But people said the same **** about Rigondeaux till he schooled Donaire.

What 300+ fights tells you is that he had to comprehensively outbox people and not just blindly rely on knocking everyone out.

GGG actually has very good movement, which he uses in his search and destroy mode when he walks people down that he does not consider a threat, or he can move laterally and box.

Also where the hell does this assumption come from that Kelly would just walk him down?
Taylor had Pavlik on the brink of a stoppage if he did not run out of gas.

This always happens though, people view the fighters of the past in such high regard it creates unrealistic expectations for the new generation.

If you take bias out of the equation, look at how their styles and attributes mesh its quite hard to see how Pavlik has any chance.

Someone unorthodox with very quick feet that could move in and out like a prime Martinez would have a much better chance.
