As a spin-off of the Williams Vs Thomas thread where many seem to be in agreement that Thomas likely bests Williams how does he fare against Sonny Liston? Can his chin withstand the rain that Liston would bring or is this a storm Thomas gets blown away by?
A prime Thomas does pretty good , I see him going the distance with Sonny. But Liston wins ,the solid jab and strength gets him a unanimous verdict. But I don't see him getting KO'd .
Most disenchanted Liston zealot on this board. Of course, Liston would dissipate Berbick, Tubbs, Holmes, and Spinks even quicker than Tyson
Thomas had an iron chin but was very prone to facial swelling, wasn't he? His eyes would probably be narrow slits by the midway point against a murderous, thudding, damaging puncher like Sonny Liston.
