How is this even a question? Even the 39 y/o considerably past prime version who fought AJ would beat Whyte everyday of the week.
Well a nearly 41 year old Povetkin just sent Whyte into the shadow realm so it’s a bit of an obvious answer. Even the Povetkin who fought AJ although past his best would have probably beat anyone in the division except AJ or Fury. Povetkin was an elite heavyweight at one point.

I thought Whyte was robbed against Povetkin tho. So he's shown us he can beat him, it's just a question of could he do it more convincingly against a younger version, & I think older Povetkin is better than younger Povetkin.
Povetkin is 41 y/o and he looked every singe day of it against Whyte and some. Slower of both hand and foot, his legs are gone, reaction times off, and his punch resistance clearly diminished too.
Yeah I get it but I dont think its a given that he would win few years younger. It was a good fight and better man won. Still in a different day it could have gone other way. Also those slower of both hand and foot and legs are gone are bull****. He Koed top 5 heavyweight in the world. How about respecting his achievment and not disrespecting Sasha
Povetkin is borderline shot if not completely shot. He still has his power and technical skills but everything else is significantly diminished.
