I realise that he was dropped once NOT TWICE .and he landed around 1.500 shots to knock down old fat Tua
I think he's he's too complete for Shavers, Ruddock and Morrisson. You can never rule anything out when you have guys with this kind of power, but my money would be on Povetkin. Harder to say with Tua and Haye. Tua had amazing stamina and chin to go with his power, so that might overcome Povetkin's superior skills. Hard to say, but it sure would be a war. Haye had good mobility and explosiveness, so he could be a bit troublesome, but my guess is that Povetkin catches him at some point.
I won’t categorize Alexander Povetkin as being a “ great fighter”, but I think he’s proven himself solid enough to be a respectable opponent in any era. He’s durable, can go the distance, can punch hard and has sound skills. I don’t see very many champions having an easy time with him..
Agree. He’d certainly have a shot at beating the ones listed in this thread. Tua might be a tough fight because of his durability and awkwardness
I agree. Tua is limited. But he’s short and awkward with a mean left hook, lots of power and a solid chin. Povetkin would beat him by a decision but he might get clocked several times along the way
Prime Povetkin fails a drug test before fighting all of these guys and the fights never happen. His prime is in a syringe.
I would give Haye the best shot and might even pick him but close to 50/50 for me. He should win the other 4, but I give Ruddock the best shot at pulling an upset between the other 4.
Whatever. Now he's an alltime great? Shavers is a 50/50 fight. The longer it goes the better for Pov. Ruddock by TKO. People forget Ruddock has a pretty good chin in his prime. Morrison starches Pov. He throws that left hook faster and harder then anything Pov has ever seen. Tua comes from behind and stops Pov. Too big too strong. Hayes gets stopped by Pov.
