I am a big Morales fan. Also Barrera and Marquez.

I think a prime, ready and focused Hamid beats Morales and Barrera but would struggle against Marquez. The reason being I am not sure how his power would fare against him.

I rate Marquez with the strongest chin/punch taking of the three.

Yeah, Marquez is an absolute nightmare for Hamed.

I really like Hamed, he was such an entertaining fighter and was the biggest draw in the lighter divisions during the late 90's.

I don't like his chances though against any of the big 4 of Pacman, Marquez, Barrera and MOrales.

In the case of Morales, that would've been a helluva fight but I think Erik is too good of a boxer and probably would win a competitive decision. The size difference (height and reach) combined with Morales' boxing skills would've been too much for the Prince.

At FW, I think Naseem actually would have a decent chance against Pacman. Someone would've gotten KO'd in that matchup, but that fight would probably be Naseem's best chance for a win. Pacman was still evolving and his boxing skills weren't as "refined" as they were once he kept moving up in weight. He was still pretty much a one handed (but explosive,) fighter at the lower weights.

"The fact is that MAB had to change his whole style to win on points....." is a false statement. If you watched the Jesus Salud fight before the Hamed fight, you would have known the truth.

I would rather believe the fellow that fought both fighters in Wayne McCullough than the Hamed excusemakers that do just that here on ESB.

I think if Naz had been 100% focused and he'd have fought to his full capabilities, he'd have caused MAB a lot more problems. But to say that he'd have played with both MAB and Morales and that he was undefeatable, is fanciful in my opinion. I think it's a gross exaggeration on your part.

It's called "fighting". And yes, Hamed was very good at it.

The prince will lose to a technician like Morales. See the Barrera fight. I agree with the post above, it's worse than the Barrera fight.
