Marquez tried to bang with PAC the first fight and that's why he got knocked down 3 times. He adjusts his strategy and countered. So yeahche handled his power well after ad******g. I'm a fan of hamed and marquez but his style wouldntt work against marquez

Let me guess, this thread was begun by a Brit. JMM would outclass Naz in the extreme. No contest.

your right, i'm from britain, but that doesn't mean i'm wrong, anyways i'm hated by most of the british posters on this site.

i aint like most of the british posters, i don't rate hatton, calzaghe, haye and all the rest of the hype jobs, but naz was real, he was a true champ.

I think JMM outboxes Naz to a close UD. Naz is not got getting knocked out, that's for sure.

i am not being biased (maybe a little) this is a seriouse point, and if jmm boxed his game, and not get dragged into a little war, he would eventualy stop hamed, his precise counter punching was made for a style like hamed's
BUT good match up FOR SURE

This is why you "chin checkers" know **** all. Hamed got knocked down due to balance issues, but was never hurt.

The fact is, Hamed was intimidated by Barrera. He bottled it pre fight because he suddenly woke up to the fact he was out of his depth and fighting a legend. The same would happen against Marquez- thats why he never fought at that level again. He couldnt bear the embarrassment

BUT I actually would give Hamed a real chance of KOing Pac. Hamed had the better chin and is much more powerful.

Though he dominated stylistically, MAB was really afraid to let his hands go vs Hamed.
......had MAB done so, I think he'd have stopped Hamed.

The shots that Pac dropped JMM with were fast, hard, and straight lefts.......and none of those shots that dropped JMM in his first fight with Pac actually hurt him.
Marquez I believe explained it very well afterward, he said that he saw every one of those shots coming but that he thought they were thrown from too far out to get to him.
Marquez misgauged the distance of which Pac's shots could travel, and since he's a fighter that sits in the pocket and subtly moves and then counters......I believe its easy to comprehend Marquez' explanation about misguaging the distance of which he believed Pac's punches could travel.

JMM was only hurt once by Pac, and that was round 3 of the rematch with Pac.
......and he was dropped hard with a perfectly timed shot, and had his marbles about him with in seconds.
Its remarkable how quickly JMM recuperated from that shot from Pac.

If Hamed were to catch JMM with a good shot, I have no doubt he has the recuperative powers to weather the storm.
I dont believe Hamed would ever hit Marquez with a clean shot, much less a bomb that could put him out.

Hamed even when he was winning was a reckless puncher and nowhere near as sharp a puncher as Pac.

Unlike MAB, JMM has never shown any shyness to pounce when the openings are there.
I think he takes out Hamed, and does so handily inside of 6 rounds.

Pac is'nt so hard to hit, and Hamed who throws a much wider shot than Pac, would be much easier to counter.

The guys in this thread who hold Hamed to a higher light.......
....please......Hamed was a powerful, superstrong featherweight....a freak of nature at that weight......but his style and skillset only shines against B level opposition and aging fighters on the way out who have visibly slown and declined.

Hamed gets taken apart by any high quality skilled featherweight who's more than a B level fighter.
In other words, Hamed gets outboxed by the best, and gets humiliated by the ATG's!

I wont mince words here, JMM would make Hamed look like its the first time he's ever stepped foot in a ring.......and I'm by no means exaggerating when I say this.

since we are talking peak (not Naz against Barrera)

despite being a big JMM fan NAZ would ko him, he could also beat EM,MAB and PAC at his best, so so underrated.

Naz was the man. I still voted for Juan though. Marquez is too patient and accurate to fall for his elusive antics.
