When Quarry and Floyd actually fought, Jerry was still "young" and Floyd on the backside of his career.

Who would have won Quarry (of Shavers) vs Floyd ( Ingo 2)?

Floyd, Floyd, Floyd, Floyd, Floyd. Quarry was a fine fighter but he's far overrated here. Floyd on the other hand is far underrated. He would've been far too much for Quarry. He'd have opened him up like a can of tomato sauce and it would've been stopped on cuts well before 15, or even not just cuts. Different leagues and Quarry didn't have the brutal punching power of Ingo or Liston, even though he had fair power. ...Of course, Quarry may have had success with an early knockdown or two, because Floyd is prone to that and Quarry is a hell of a lot better than some of the fighters to catch him for a flash KD. Regardless, Patterson would rise above and brutalize Quarry in a tough fight early, heading into a bloodbath beating through the mid rounds to whenever the stoppage would occur.

Good description of a brutal fight.

15 rounds and old Floyd would have beaten him clearly anyway. And that was pretty much a prime Quarry.
