Rahman hit harder than Tua? Ask Maskaev, ask John Ruiz who hit harder. And Rahman was too slow to catch Byrd
:dealthis people forget that rahman wasn't just a puncher,he could box.his biggest problem was discipline. if he showed up in shape and motivated he could beat anybody.
I see it more like Byrd's fight against Vitali, without the fluke injury. Rahman had a better, longer jab and maybe even better one-punch power than Ike but Ike was more aggressive and had faster hands.
byrd beat vitali by outboxing him to an injury and old man holy and ageing tua. not a good hand. rahman beat prime lennox, but lost to him too - yet that win trumps anything byrd did. sadly, nothing else of really solid note for rahman. tua draw? ageing tua. byrd is better resume rahman a bit handier h2h maybe but i'd put my money on byrd outta 3.
He fought Vitali instead, right? I still don't see any reason to believe he feared Byrd. And what about Rahman?
To save himself the embarrassment of fighting a puff'd up light heavy. Lewis woulda made a soup sandwich out of Byrd . There was no call for that fight. The only reason Byrd was in contention was because of Don Kinds Scheming . Byrd has deserved to lose to GOLota, Williamson and MacLINE
