Can't believe how many people pick Mavrovic based on fact that he went 12 rounds vs Lewis and was competitive.

Well, if so, Rahman has knocked out Lewis.

Zelko looked good in his only big fight, but other than that he never faced anyone close to top-20.

Julius Francis and shot Mark Wills are his best wins.

I can't pick the winner here based on only one Mavrovic' fight against top-20 opponent.

For those who don't know, Zeljko Mavrovic was a good class amateur who boxed in Olympic Games, World and Euro Champs and then became a respected EBU champ before facing Lennox Lewis for the WBC belt. He took Lewis all in the way in a spirited account. His career was cut short. He most certainly can be ranked on a par with Hasim Rahman, Sanders and Schulz etc, based on what he showed prior to his illness. Yeah, he most certainly could have beaten Hasim Rahman.

I think the phrase " most certainly" needs a little more backing than just having beaten Mark Wills.

Just Mark Wills? Please....Mavrovic was a good tough fighter, talented with a sound chin.He beat better men than just Mark Wills. Rahman beat a worse prepared, c_ocky and older version of Lewis than the version who faced Mavrovic. I would make a healthy Zeljko who would surely have progressed for having had the Lewis bout, a favourite over Hasim Rahman. I wouldn't underestimate European heavyweights if I were you, either!
