Ol' burple ass scurlacuntings favoring the black guy who also just HAPPENS to have come from PRIDE?:scaredas: I'm shocked.atsch Come off it, it's a good match-up and I'd have a hard time deciding who to throw money down on. The Couture of the first Liddell fight would have had an outstanding chance against any 205er of that era and I would have unequivocally picked him to beat Wand and can definitely see him grinding Rampage out via what was, at that time, superior boxing and wrestling of the like that he never faced until Henderson. Rampage is **** off of his back, there's absolutely no doubt that Couture would put him there, and 2003 Rampage, for all of his power, wasn't anywhere near as good an offensive boxer as he turned out to be a few years later at the end of his prime. If pressed I would probably take Couture by UD.
When was Rampage in his prime? Was it when he "beat" Lindland, or when he lost to Forrest? I take Randy in a UD. Could go either way though, Randy didn't have the best chin, and Page has great TDD. Randy wins 6/10 times.
In the cage: Rampage's power would trouble Randy for a round or two. Randy's constant pressing would really start to wear Jackson down by the 3rd. Couture would win by late sub, probably by choke(side or rnc). In the ring: Randy won't be able to press him the way the cage walls allow. There will be many more chances for Jackson to land a bomb. I don't care how tough Couture once was, it only takes so many of Quinton's shots to break you. Rampage tko 3.
