I love Razor Ruddock, but his workrate is too low and he is too predicable. He also leaves himself wide open to counter punches.
Conventional wisdom states that the guy looking for the KO against a smart boxer with an iron chin usually doesn't get it.
The only chance Ruddock has is if he lands that smash at just the right time and in the right spot. I think that's a slim chance.

I can quite easily see an Ali stoppage in the late rounds due to Rudock gassing and becoming more and more desperate as the rounds go by...leaving himself more and more open to sharp counters.

 

Great observation. Page was way over the hill. Ruddock had every conceivable advantage over him and made that fight MUCH harder than it should have been.

Look, Ruddock was good, but he fought dumb and it cost him many times, even sometimes when he won, like the Page fight.

Ruddock would have been a very dangerous fight for Ali. Henry Cooper had Ali out. The only thing that saved Ali from getting knocked out by Cooper was the fact that Angelo Dundee cut Ali's glove to save him. Angelo Dundee admitted it before he died.............Ruddock was a much harder puncher than Cooper, much bigger, so I think Ali would have lost, but if he could have run like Hell for 15 rounds perhaps he could have survived...............

This kid shows how much he knows about boxing when he claimed that Earnie Shavers dropped Ali, he then goes on to correct himself and says it was Larry Holmes instead! Hahahahaha, I'd quit now if I was you!

 

George Foreman was also a much harder puncher than Henry Cooper and so was Earnie Shavers, they didn't put down Ali so your point means jack****! Any man can get put down by any man if they get hit just right.

 

Ali won 5 rounds out of 8 vs Foreman, he gave a tremendous perofrnance under the circumstances. You really need to go back to the drawing board mate, some of your comments and threads are really good and the rest are very much misguided.

 

Hence the Ruddock fight being dangerous for Ali.
