Sorry Frazier 'WAS NOT SHOT" when he was 32:-( i believe Joe was 32 or around there in 1975, the year of the thrilla in manilla, if he would have been shot, he wouldn't have been even with Ali after 14 rounds, Joe fought the fight of his life at 32, and Ali later said he felt lose to death in that fight:deal.. Sorry but if the guy's "shot" he's not putting Ali thru the toughest fight of his life, where he felt close to death...
The fact is both Ali and Frazier were slightly past it in the thriller in Manila, they both should have retired after that fight. Ruddock could knock anyone out if he caught them right with the smash, but he telegraphed that punch from Hong Kong! A prime Frazier would be too sharp and smother Ruddock.
I like the name calling and resorting to insults.....very, very clever....You are impressive! This is a big area of divide for us, as I only view career defining up to FOTC and @ the most would go to Foreman I....even though I don't consider that a peak Frazier.... Convince you? You are the one who made the claim, the burden of proof is upon you. I merely challenged your circumstantial statement asking for evidence of your claims.
In before seamus calls Frazier and Lilliputian and how Frazier never saw anybody with the punches of The Razor... wait.. is that only with fighters pre 1920 in the HW division?
It is rather comical and amazing! One would have to think that the law of averages would allow him to get something right, even if only by accident. Oh well at least I find his writing style somewhat enjoyable, and find him to be somewhat intelligent.....makes one wonder how his analytical skills are so far off base!
I like his writing style, too. He insulted me and others on a different thread, though, so now it's on!
Whenever I find myself opposing Elroy on some topic, which is nearly every time, I know I'm on the right track.
He's so far ahead of his time. He's the only one saying the world is round and all us idiots still think the world is flat!
