    Maybe Galento too.
Ruddock would have to have been a different fighter, to have not abandoned his jab & boxing techniques in favor of "The Smash".
If he worked hard on that for years, he might have a chance against Joe Louis.
As he was, no slow moving low output fighter is ever likely to beat Louis.

Whoever had better defense, it is *insane* to accuse someone of lying because they have a different opinion on a matter of arguable judgement.
This kind of cynical personal attack hurts the Trust, Civility, & even credibility of this forum.

Please stop with the irrational accusations that peope who make a different judgement than you are *lying*.

Baer was a hard puncher for sure, but I don't think he had that concussive power that Ruddock had.

I'd like to hear your reasoning then. It's not like Ruddock stopped many durable or even good fighters in his career. He definitely had a lot of power, but it's often overstated in my opinion.

he didnt not close at all and fought people who stay in front of him which means mutiple clean punches could be landed

I would put Baer up there with anybody in terms of one punch power.

Nobody in Louis`s era punched as hard as Ruddock.

I would easily put Baer’s power above Ruddock’s.

Sure fair enough, it just does not dispute anything that I said.
And those three did not come anywhere close to defeating Louis.

Baer didn`t have the one punch power that Ruddock had and how many one punch KO`s did Baer score? Ruddock would have finished Primo in the first round with the first uppercut that landed.

It's amazing how much more common these first round blow outs are in fantasy fights, than in real fights.

Primo never fought a one punch cruncher like Ruddock.
