Alot of people think Razor Rudduck was washed up when he fought Morrison but i dont think it mattered, Morrison would knock him out no matter when they fought.

in their actual meeting, Razor Ruddock was 31 years of age to Morrison's 26, and his only recent fight in two and a half years came against a journeyman. Regardless, He decked Morrison early, then fell victim later to what was arguably a premature stoppage. Had this fight taken place around 1990, when Ruddock had dispatched Dokes in 4, then went 12 with Tyson, I think he would have made short work of the Duke, who got pummeled by Mercer and Bent. Ruddock was in spectacular shape, had one punch knockout power and could take a decent shot to. Morrison isn't beating a prime Ruddock.

Ruddock easy KO. Morrison had one style, the old Cus D'Amato style crouch (but without the Cus taught ring smarts). Razor would uppercut him to oblivion.:bbb

i think ruddock would knock tommy out....prime 4 prime.....ruddock was 15 months inactive when he fought morrison with no tuneups..........he weighed in at 243 3/4.......and was much much slower than the lewis/tyson fights...........if ruddock had 1 tuneup and came in around 230 lbs......morrison woulda been kod...

    Either way.

Tommy hit way hard and Razor just wasn't quite championship calibre. They were pretty analogous fighters. Only a fool would bet much on either.

    Yeah.
I'd lean toward Ruddock, but not by much at all.

And take another brawler with plenty of warts over both; Brewster.

Yep. Both had the great equalizer with serious lefthands. Morrison a little more chinny, Ruddock a little less so, but Morrisons lefthook was no joke if it landed.

if u put Razor in with Morrison instead of Tyson when the buildup was that Ruddock was the only challenger to Tyson worthy of a chance than Morrison woud be knocked out for sure...Morrison never seemed to step up to the next level...beating Foreman and an old Truth Williams are good on paper but these victories must be taken into account of the physical condition or mental condition of George and Carl..... Morrison was never at the level of Ruddock when compared him prime for prime...

I think Ruddock would beat Brewster pretty handily IMO.

Razor Ruddock was good at blowing the big fights. He fought with ZERO strategy. All an opponent REALLY had to do was work around his left. A fraction of Greg Page troubled a prime Ruddock NO END. Have you seen that fight? Zero strategy, zero listening to his corner, zero varied approach. It took him ROUNDS to pin down and wear out a badly faded journeyman that was a decade beyond his best...and that was Ruddock at his prime.

A focused Morrison had a 60/40 shot at beating Ruddock everytime. A smart technician like Holyfield would expose Ruddock's multiple flaws...and you can bet Russock would be exposed, figuring he had no big threat with a smaller guy like Holy in front of him.

Ruddock was fun, no question. But that's really about it. His career makes that clear.
