I wouldn't put it past the crazy ****er. Hearns would utterly ruin Mayorga though. Like I said, fun fight while it would last.:good

So we're talking about a complete fighter (granted, shaky chin) who is an ATG vs. ****ing Mayorga? Really?

I am a huge Mayorga fanboy, and pick him over most fighters one would name if they fought at welterweight (not 154, not 160) but the mayorga that was motivated enough (and young enough) to make welterweight like he was for the lewis, forrest, and spinks fights..... Id take him over every welter today besides mayweather. So I am big on a prime, 147lb mayorga.

    But hearns beats him....

    No, he didnt.

Even the announcers (where Forrest was the house fighter on that one, having just signed a multi fight deal with HBO) knew he lost that fight. I dont put much stock into announcers opinions, but Mayorga clearly beat Forrest in the second fight, it was close.... but it was clear.

just imo. Thankfully the judges saw it the same way and it goes down in history that Mayorga beat forrest, just like he should have beaten Spinks as well.

    The FIRST fight?

Not sure what fight you were watching.... maybe you out to rewatch it.

Forrest was laying a 'whooping' on Mayorga?

For people that only know Mayorga for the predictable caveman that hes been for quite some time.... and for those that havent seen their first fight *cough*kipejh*cough

Here is Mayorga vs Forrest 1

    Or.... Mayorga taking a whooping...

Watch all of round 3 and tell me thats just a momentary lapse of concentration  Mayorga closed the distance from the beginning of the round until he stopped him. And the previous two rounds were hardly a whooping... lol.

I was thinking of the Roldan fight, but then again this is Hearns at 147 we're talking about, not the Middleweight version who was lacking the lithe movement he had at lower weights, so I can't even see Mayorga faring that well. Cuevas was known for his durability before Hearns got to him as well. Look what happened there. I don't think Mayorga lasts more than about 3, maybe 4.

    :good

One thing is for sure, the press cons and 24/7's for a prime mayorga vs mayweather fight would be awesome

Mayweather would learn some new vocabulary words. Hopefully he'd fire some shots at 50's ***** ass too.

Could you imagine Mayorga giving Hearns free shots on his chin?

Hearns inside 1 round. Quite possibly by a bodyshot or two.
