Prime Mayorga beats Prime Cintron. Mayorga would be too strong, and would overwhelm him with so many shots. Mayorga can take Cintron's punches also.
Cintron had a draw with Sergio Martinez. Sergio is the elite of the elite fighters as displayed in the Punisher Willaims fight. So, it seems like Cintron is a higher caliber level of fighter, and would come out with a W.
Did you even see the fight? Thats when he got exposed as a biatch. Claiming a head butt when it was a clear punch. He actually was counted out and the fight should have finished. A draw was a highway robbery. Martinez clearly won the fight by UD. :deal Old Mayorga destroy prime Cintron. Not even close. :nono
To lefthook.... Mayorga faded just as badly as cintron? For the sake of the discussion, im going to assume we are talking about the Mayorga that had his career at 147 and when he stopped training as hard, 154... Not the bloated guy who should have never even stepped into the 160 or above weightclasses on the wrong side of 35 years old to boot. Usually, when assessing a head to head fight, we are taking the fighters best years and best weightclass, which would be eather 147 or 154. Though Mayorga past Spinks never really impressed me. So id like to know in what fight under middleweight did Mayorga fade ever as badly as Cintron did? In fact, against Forrest, he was IMPRESSING the announcers with his championship round activity.... And yes, Mayorga DID beat Forrest lol.... i suppose one is going to think whatever one want to happen in a fight is what REALLY happened lol, then again i can sit here and think that Baldomir actually beat Mayweather. All certain opinions do is undermine. Who has gone in and completely outboxed Mayorga, maybe oscar, and after that? Lewis couldnt do it, Forrest couldnt do it, and Spinks couldnt do it (that was a close fight with mayorga giving spinks ALL KINDS of problems) But cintron is going to go in there and do it? Highly doubtful. Meanwhile Cintron has showed numerous times that he can be disheartened and fustrated by the things that Mayorga brings to the table (Aggression, power, toughness, strength, will) And yes, Mayorga is better then Margarito and Angulo. Mayorga is actually faster, often throwing hard, short, crisp and FAST PUNCHES. In fact it was Mayorgas speed that allowed him to have such success against Forrest the first time. Better footwork, Mayorga at his best knew what he was doing a lot of the time, and actually uses the ring better then Margarito (or Angulo) as well, and also employs tactics in his fights, hes not just a zombie that comes at you throwing punch after punch hoping he wears you down. Mayorga throws wild haymakers, but he also chops on the inside with a brutal fast right hand, he also cuts up with an effective uppercut. Mayorga wasnt always this face first walk forward no technique caveman he became gradually after spinks and leaving the 147lb weightclass. People need to go back and watch Mayorga vs Cruz, Mayorga vs Spinks, Forrest 1 and Forrest 2 again, its painful how bad hes getting underrated by some. One can look at Mayorga in those fights, and tell that the things he brings into those fights would be too much for Cintron, especially given Cintrons troubles in the past, let alone his limits as a fighter. Cintron doesnt have the skillset, the presence, the heart, to do what is needed to beat Mayorga, and he doesnt have anything else in ENOUGH ABUNDANCE to compinsate for that, and when you combine that with a fighter who brings a lot to the table that troubles him, in my opinion you have a recipe for disaster for cintron. just IMO
One thing I can state without question is that Mayorga was in now way physically stronger then Kermit. At least not when I was training him. Kermits physical strength would shock most of you. As for kermits chin... ALL of Kermits knockdowns were frommlack of will. Not from actually being hurt. PS I ****ing hate Cintron, and would like to hear of him dying in a plane crash. So my opinion here is not biased in his favor.
One thing you dont want against Mayorga, is lack of will. I fail to see how this fight is even competetive past 4.
I'm taking Mayorga within 6 rounds. Even if he smokes a pack of cigarettes b4 the match. I ****in' loved that guy. Some of the press conferences are just legendary.
