Has Williams ever been hurt properly in the ring and by who?

Williams UD for me, he's very busy, has an excellent jab and left as well as the insane punch output. Mayo is crazy, but that could also see him knocked out... again

Who cares if Williams has ever been PROPERLY hurt in the ring...Hell, Forrest was never hurt in any way in the ring, was undefeated and had just dominated the P4P#1 fighter when he was KO by Wild man, and then UD'd.

Williams is to open for Mayorga.

i don't think mayorga has a chance, i mean he has the chance to knock out anyone because of his style, bt williams would feed on mayorga's wild style. he would use tht reach advantage and batter mayorga away, and mayorga neva had a prime, he jus been mayorga throughout his career!!

So Forrest didn't see Mayo coming in their second fight is what you're saying??:huh

His defence is terrible...yes, but when did Williams become Pernell Whitaker?...William's defence is terrible also

I think Williams is being severely underrated. This may be a difficult matchup for Williams given Mayorga's power and wild swings and given the fact that Paul occasionaly gets hit, but I have never seen Paul hurt and he appears to recover quickly.

There is also no evidence of Paul being scared of any of his opponents. He played it safe against Margarito, but he did what he had to do and put on a boxing exhibition.

But other than that, I see nothing that Mayorga brings to the table except power, relentlessness, and maybe some body punching.

    MATADOR!!! MATADOR!!

Mayorga was a monster at 147 and so awkward. Him KOing Wiliams in not that unlikely.

Mayorga is open to everyone, but the point is that Williams would have a hard time getting Mayorga off him. Hell, even Tito struggled a bit for the first few rounds. Look at the Mosley fight, and that is a way past prime Mayorga.

Now look at the Forrest fight, and you'll see why William's lack of defense would spell disaster.

Well I care lol. He's never been hurt, not to say he cant be, however he's shown he can take punishment as well as give it out. I personally feel he's a better boxer and more capable of giving out a beating to Mayorga than he is to take one from him. He has an 82" reach and a huge height and speed advantage, the same tools he used to batter a middleweight at the weekend less you forget. Williams broke Winky's guard for fun and Mayorga is easier to find than Winky is with a clean shot.

Mayorga's defense is worse than Williams and while Paul gets hit flush it he doesn't get hit as often as people are making out. He went up 2 weight divisions and walked onto a couple of heavy shots from Winky and continued to walk straight through them in order to release his massive combo's. As for offense Mayorga probably hits harder, but it will take more than the odd flush bomb to stop him, of which there is more evidence to support this than him being sparked out with a single power shot or even a combination of them. I actually believe based on skill set, intangibles and physical attributes that this would be a fairly routine day at the office for Paul who is now making real use of his height/reach.

FYI Winky hasn't KO someone since ooooooh, perhaps the invention of the light bulb!

Taking a shot well from Winky means as much as taking a shot from a twelve year old girl.

But anyway, back to the real point, sure, Williams has a chance at beating Mayorga, but all I'm saying is that a Prime Mayorga was hella strong, and perhaps faster than Williams. Prime Mayorga is vastly underrated, and Williams is not necessarily a KO artist. Mayorga can take a good shot.

I don't think Williams has the tools to keep Mayo off him, I can't see it. Mayorag would be all over williams.
