 BOWE didnt fight on the outside very good and fighting TUA on the inside gets him KOed because he never took a shot very well ! Get it ! BOWE was undefeated because he avoided big threats and got a gift in a fight with OLD TUBBS ! And no beating HOLY doesnt make you great ! :patsch Now run along kid and try thinking for yourself instead of spewing status quo ! :deal

You guys thinking Bowe would stroll to a victory like Lewis did need to re-examine things a bit

Bowe is extremely overrated in the boxing world and on ESB too. His purported greatness is all based on beating one fighter who he matched up perfectly against. He was not an intelligent fighter like Lewis was, nor was he an especially good outside boxer, and his defense was very suspect

There's a reason Bowe steered clear of big punchers his entire career. The way he ate leather against Holyfield and Golota would put him in big trouble against someone with the devastating power of Tua. And Bowe's total lack of defense and willingness to stand and trade especially on the inside would cause him serious trouble against Tua. He could outbox Tua, but Tua would have ample opportunities to land big, clean punches and do some damage and would have a solid chance at stopping Bowe

Bowe had a good chin, but it's one thing to eat punches against punchers Holyfield and Golota who in terms of top level heavyweights have no better than mediocre power, and David Tua. If Holyfield and Golota could get Bowe hurt and in trouble you can't say Tua couldn't do some serious damage or stop him, particularly with Bowe's average outside game and his tendency to neglect defense and slug it out

Because Bowe was a pretty average outside fighter and was often lazy with his jab, not to mention he wasn't a smart fighter. He routinely neglected defense and he preferred to slug it out and fight inside than outbox someone from range. Tua is better by a wide distance than anyone that Bowe fought aside from Holyfield and Golota, and he matches up better against Bowe than Holyfield because of his greatly superior punching power

Bowe's habit of neglecting his jab and slugging it out on the inside didn't hurt him against Holyfield because he matches up near-perfectly with Holyfield

What Riddick Bowe fight against a decent opponent indicates to you that he would consistently utilize his jab and outbox Tua from range like Lewis did? That's not who Bowe was, and this myth that he had a great jab or was anything more than an average outside fighter is just that, a myth. Bowe would let Tua get inside and would slug it out with him, because that's who Bowe was and that's how he fought, and that would give Tua an opportunity to land big shots at which point he would have a solid chance to win

Tua by KO. Bowe's style is made for Tua. Although he is big and tall, he fights on the inside. Bad move against the Tuaman.
