I tend to agree with this. Joshua's defence is a lot better than people give him credit for, and he is technically quite good.

Personally I rate Joshua as better than Bowe, with the caveat that Bowe demonstrated huge heart against Golota whereas Joshua basically quit against Ruiz.

Joshua's chin is so-so, but then you could say that Bowe's is too. The difference is that to land on Joshua you need speed, which Ruiz had, whereas it's never been difficult to land on Bowe.

I think AJ wins, unless Bowe manages to drag him into a shootout where heart counts more than boxing skills.

That’s the thing his career is literally an anomaly. So it’s almost unfair to project a particular matchup for him when he only showed up to one fight motivated and in shape. So the only comparison or hypotheticals that can be made is Buster Douglas and Andy Ruiz. It’s hard to compare him to a guy like AJ who’s reigned for years or even Tyson Fury who at least has two elite wins aiming for 3. His inconsistency makes it difficult to say whom he would be motivated and in shape against.

Bowe beat Holyfield and outweighed him by 30 pounds. Holyfield beat a clearly **** version of Tyson

Haha what “gold and riches” could wilder offer Joshua? Wilders had 10 more fights than Joshua and yet his career earnings will be 10x less.

That’s a great point and I totally agree with what you are saying. Personally I just feel Bowe was
Well said, and I totally agree...historically he’s very hard to rate... he had some decent wins but some were shop worn and past it or too small. His best wins were the 2 over Holyfield and the 3rd fight is a question because of the supposed hepatitis Evander had.

Tyson wasn't as good as he was in 88 i guess but he came back from prison and tore through the heavyweight division. I think even at that point he was still elite level. And honestly id favor Holyfield over Joshua. Joshua struggles with smaller fighters and on top of that Holyfield is a monster in the pocket. Joshua isnt one to use his size to his advantage unless he's trying to outbox you. Look at the povetkin fight

Bowe for sure, his remarkable jab and courage would be too much for Joshua to overcome...

I know people are gonna be quick to pick bowe by ko but this is a good match up. The closes thing to AJ Bowe has faced is Herbie Hide, and Bowe admitted to struggling and getting rocked in that fight. AJ’s offense and defense seems to be getting better and better I think he has potential to stop the very hittable Bowe

Bowe wins by ko if he’s on top of his game. But if he starts out sloppy or apathetic, I could see AJ hurting him and taking over the fight before Bowe ever gets going.

He didn't tear through the division at all in his comeback. His best opponent after returning and between the Holyfield fight was Bruno, and that was Bruno 35 at the end of his career

He does rate higher H2H than resume wise, but you have to look at some of the intangibles he had, size, chin, heart, cardio, excellent jab and infighting skills. His weaknesses are defense and dedication, and yes we didnt see him against any huge punchers. I do see him as a bit of a nightmare for overall better fighters AJ and Wlad, I just dont think cardio/mentality wise they can handle the pressure he would put on them.

Bowe would slaughter bodybuilder in the ring. He went toe to toe prime HW Holyfield three times and resisted most of his punches. Joshua hasn't a chin.

Bowe by destruction. Joshua is anxious everytime someone gets up close. He's **** his pants when Bowe gets into range
