Obviously this must be a prime, focused Bowe.

Bowe best win was against another all time great close to his best, Joshua’s best win was against a fighter 5 years past his best and coming off a loss.

When the going gets tough against a decent fighter in their prime, Joshua gets beat. Bowe would drag him in and win a battle, Joshua doesn’t handle adversity well, can’t adjust mid fight against quality operators, and I can’t see a prime Bowe not causing him enough issues to make him need a plan B.

An in shape motivated Bowe who actually listens to Eddie Futch beats any version of AJ.

Bowe, I don't think AJ has that much dog in him.

I watched Bowe-Holyfield I a few weeks ago for the hell of it. It's not outside the realm of possibility that Joshua could pull it off, but I would label it highly unlikely. Certainly Joshua could trouble Bowe a bit if he chooses to move, but Bowe's jab, work rate, grit, and infighting would draw Joshua in and then Bowe would drown him. Bowe was much more consistent with the jab, doubling it often. And for two guys of roughly the same dimensions, Bowe's engine was clearly superior. I mean, many see Joshua-Klitschko as some sort of classic, yet they accounted for 611 punches between them (355 of that was AJ). Bowe threw 175 more than both of them (786 in all) as a chunkier version of himself in the second Holyfield bout. It's real hard to get over their discrepancy in toughness, as well. I saw Bowe weather storms I couldn't imagine Joshua entering.

As a side note, I would take other versions of Bowe over Joshua, too.

Bowe demolition job similar to the beating he gave Herbie Hide.

Bowe would batter AJ. He's the all round better fighter. He'd probably take a few hard lumps from Joshua but it's the body builder that ends up flattened.
    Bowe Ko 10.

Bowe's overhand right would pulverize AJ just like it did Gonzalez. AJ might make 6 rounds.

I think AJs older style would have a better chance as Bowe had bad defense and never fought a puncher like AJ. Tough match up for AJ though, he likely folds mid rounds

Bowe was always good against smaller guys with no punch. AJ is slightly bigger than him with a huge punch. Bowe is also pretty easy to hit. If he doesn't get AJ fast I think he gets blown to bits.

aj is not good. He wasnt even good enough to stomp pummel Franklin and get his british hype train going again. Completely overrated

Bowe would KO aj at the pressers
