I'd have to pick a peak and focussed Bowe in this fantasy fight.

Bowes peak admittedly was short and sharp and his focus and overall commitment was naff at times.

A Peak Bowe would have been a great fight against Lewis never mind AJ.

Bowes hand speed and trench warfare willingness would have overwhelmed any version of AJ imo.

 

Prime Bowe is the better all round boxer and should win by a late stoppage but throughout the fight there’s a real risk that he gets caught by Joshua and the fights over in favour of AJ.

 

Man Ruiz was so high on the sugar rush from the complimentary Snickers box in his dressing room he could have caved in Tokyo Douglas that night

 

Joshua probably has more power but Bowe would stop him, especially this Joshua.

 

Doubt

 

The fat man would probably beat Golota though.

 

Bowe is the better fighter but as I always say in these type of threads, Bowe never fought any of the notable punchers of the 90s. And his team certainly kept him away from bangers aswell.

Bowe was heavily dropped by Holyfield, could Bowe with his lack of defense really take a solid shot from Joshua ? I don't know.

I would favour Bowe to win but hes never fought anyone the size of Joshua who hit as hard.

 

No he wouldn't. Ruiz is terrible. He is actually overrated. Very overrated

 

Golota is weak mentally if Ruiz got Golota into deep waters he could win, Ruiz has got a good chin and quick hands.

 

Bowe not only has far superior skills and was a better puncher with both hands and had at east equal power, he also had heart & determination far beyond what AJ could ever have.

Bowe KO AJ mid rounds.

 

Even Coetzer caused him some real problems, and Bowe probably should have been DQ'd for low blows in that one.

 

A better boxer? No he isn't. Bowe was massively limited and could only fight one way, plodding forward to bang it out on the inside. To his credit he was very good if his opponent chose to oblige him, as Evander did, but when fighters opted to box on the outside with him his deficits became very apparent.
