    Bowe stops Marciano

I can't see Rocky taking all those bombs from Bowe, probably ref stops the fight around 10th

Rocky gave up 4" and 31lb to Joe Louis(# 2 in the world). Same as holyfield's disadvantages against Lennox Lewis and Bowe. If your asking strictly did he fight any 6'6 245lbers who were good? No. Rocky also never received steroids like holyfield did.

Can you imagine Rocky Marciano on steroids? He would be a absolute terror!

Suzie, there is no comparsion about Holyfield that fought Bowe and Holyfield that fought Lewis.

Also, there is no comparsion about prime Lewis and way past prime Louis in terms of difficulty.

I'm suprised how many h2h matchups on this forum are in favour of Marciano. Maybe he was able some how to survive shots by Lewis, Tyson, Bowe, Liston, Klitschko but we just don't know as Rocky NEVER fought really big and really good punchers. Personally I belive that prime Rahman has decent punchers chance against him, so as many solid and big HW's from the last 25 years.

    [m

marciano was outweighted 27 times in his career and fought guys with longer arms 49 times. marciano defeated all of them.

Bowe never gave away significant reach but then he never used it to his advantage anyway.

Bowe often switched off for a full minete of most of the rounds he ever fought. thats a disadvantage against any ATG.

But not outweighted 50 lbs by skilled big puncher

Those Rocky stats look good but they aren't significant when we match him with later fighters.

    the record proves he did.

thats only easy to say if the guy was ever knocked out. personally i belive any guy who switches off and allows moments of mauling inside is in danger against marcinao. since all super heavyweights do this to get a breather from carrying the excess weight is in danger against a heavyhanded livewire like marciano.

Well, if David Haye continues to drive his career like he does, then in couple of years we will be debating that he was invincible at HW because he never lost.

    no he didn't.

its 40lbs not 50. its a big skilled puncher who needs to rest part of each round against a guy who is hard to nail, comes in low and has a beter work rate.

bowe was a beter fighter under 240. If a fighter is best at his lightest weight why is it so significant when much of the advantages are counter effective?

if haye had not already been put on his arse by most of the best guys he fought and was already knocked out you may have a point. the difference is haye is vulnerable, fragile even. haye is exciting to watch for that reson he beats a guy to the draw or he gets knocked out. all that and he hasnt faced an ATG yet.

marcaino avraged 188 thats 190 if marciano wore longer trunks on like fighters in the 1990s wore. bowe was 225 against seldon when he looked a good fighter thats a mere 7lb more than old joe louis was and less than big bill wilson.
