Post of the day. It amazes me that people actually have the audacity to think Vitali belongs in the same ring as a 1992 Riddick Bowe.
Riddick in a decision...but dont see anyone beating Vitali easily, guy is just too awkward and his range and upjab causes problems for everybody. Vitali surely aint KOing Bowe, anyone who says to the contrary is either hallucinating or Ukrainian. uhh, did you ever see Bowe punch?
Bowe is too good for Vitali. The pawing jab will not work against Bowe. Bowes body punching will tire out Vitali. Late TKO IMO .
I agree with this, it took some fighting skills to compete with Bowe because he always came forward. Vitali would be forced into situations he would not be able to handle just as he was with Lennox Lewis. I see this fight ending in the same way it did with Lewis, with Vitali getting beat to a pulp on the inside.
I agree with Xplosive, teeto & lefthook31. Vitali is very overrated H2H & Bowe is badly underrated H2H here. Bowe would pulverize Vitali on the inside & win via TKO8.
Bowe always gets a free ride in these peak H2Hs He had peak of 1 fight against 1 style of fighter, who had no problem hitting Bowe flush all night, luckily Bowe had a massive size advantage. Now where did Bowe show he can adapt to other styles??? Fortunatley the apologista who put Bowe on his undeserved pedestal claim Bowe was shot when meeting the likes of Golota, whereas any other fighter is found out. How convenient. Plus when comparing H2H Bowe strengths and weakness's are rated from 1 fight [any bad performance is down to him not being peak] whereas Bowes mythical opponent will have weakness's cherry picked from 30 plus different style of fights to accomodate an alledged victory for the belt trashing, wife forking, marine ducking Bowe...
I definitely favor Bowe but I do think there are some major questions about Bowe when matched up against tall, strong fighters with power. He was past it against Golota but at the same time Golota was really the only quality SHW he ever faced and he beat up Bowe. Vitali has the general stylistic edge here, but like people have already said, Bowe is going to make it a fight in there and I don't think Vitali would be able to handle it. Bowe showed against Golota that knocking him out is a very hard task, despite any defensive problems he had. Bowe late KO.
You conveniently forgot to mention that "1 style of fighter" happened to be Evander Holyfield, a guy who would of made mincemeat out of everyone Vitali ever faced. One win over an unbeaten, healthy, undefeated Evander Holyfield is worth more than beating a hundred Chris Arreolas.
Yes. Especially now. His KO ratio makes him look far more powerful than he is. Mainly because he's been fighting the likes of Vaughn Bean and Herbie Hide.
To some degree anyone who knows boxing he certainly aint a one punch ko artist but he does have some reasonable accumulation power.
