Neither Lewis nor Golota are taller than Bowe. Lewis is the same height, Golota an inch shorter. Only fighter that Bowe fought that was taller than him was Jorge Luis Gonzalez at 6'7"...and Bowe wiped the floor with him and brutally KOed him. Gonzalez was a highly touted heavyweight coming in to that fight also and Riddick ruined his career.

    Bowe stops Vladimir.

    Decisions Vitali.

Come on now. Bowe was almost the same height as them, better speed, equal power, much better chin than Vlad. His boxing ability was second to none for a heavyweight, his in-fighting would have Vlad ice skating all over the ring. Vitali would be a tougher fight I think simply because of his awkwardness...

A prime Bowe, ie the Bowe from the first Holyfield fight, is a force to be reckoned with on all accounts. The Bowe that showed up that night has a chance to beat any heavyweight in history if you ask me.

Bowe was very good offensive fighter at his best especially on the inside, however, his lack of defense and slow feet will cost him here imo. I feel the Klitschkos will control the distance and tempo of the fight for the most part which will prove to be the difference in two very physical fights.

    2003/04 Vitali UD 1992/93 Bowe

I think Wlad might do better than Vitali in terms of competitiveness of the action.

Wlad does quite well early, getting the better of the action on the outside, outjabbing Bowe and having a few scary moments where he can't tie Bowe up properly on the inside and gets caught in an exchange. Later in the fight the tide starts to turn, Bowe (having worn a few shots himself), weathers Wlad's offense and his inside work starts to pay off, exposing a stamina problem and Wlad loses his composure and starts getting caught big. Bowe mid to late stoppage with very competitive action early on, Wlad is underrated around here by most but Bowe isn't a very nice matchup. They are big men though and Wlad punches as hard as most anyone, Bowe is certainly hittable so i wouldn't ever call it a certainty, i would definitely favour Bowe's intangibles and ability on the inside to give him a big edge though.

Against Vitali Bowe matches his awkward pawing on the outside and works him over on the inside. Vitali is too game and resilient for his own good and suffers quite a bit of damage and loses a competitive but clear war over 12 rounds. Bowe's offensive sharpness would negate Vitali's awkward defense and control of range that most struggle with.

Golota ended Bowe's career, beat him up badly. Vitali or Vlad would stop Bowe. Bowe was supposed to be 6' 6" tall, but he did not seem that tall in person. Vlad is 6' 7" tall, Vitali is 6' 8" tall, have been for years.

Riddick Bowe should beat both of the Brothers Klitschko.
I think Wald would be the harder match up. I can see him hiding behind his jab. I think that Bowe would find a way past it and score a late round stoppage.
Vittily hits harder than Wald. I think Bowe can take his best shots. He also punches slower than Wald and leaves him self open for counters. Bow has the size and speed to take advantage. Bowe by early round stoppage.

vitali is overrated and wlad is sooooooooooooooo underrated.
dudes come on the prime wlad from the last two years would smoke bowe, i even bet he would smoke a prime vitali too. wlad has tremendous speed for his size, has an all time top 3 jab and is the biggest puncher since shavers. and fights allways a perfect fight. how the hell would riddick i had three good fights bowe beat him???!!!:patsch
you have to forget his 3 losses, look at him now, he is a completly different fighter

The competition is ridiculously bad - a bunch of "C" grade athletes. The difference is how you perform when faced with someone who moves better than you, who can anticipate your moves, and can hit you with punches you can't see coming or even avoid. Looking like "a completely different fighter" isn't really discernible when the other guy in the ring is this inferior. The attributes that allowed him to get KO'd by Corrie Sanders are there and will ALWAYS be there. A couple adjustments isn't enough to change his natural deficiencies. Poor competition often gives the ILLUSION of improvement or performance stability. I'm certain if faced with a large sized athlete with top level skills (hand speed, foot speed, agility, TALENT, quickness, etc., etc.) he would come apart at the seams (rivets).

Bowe came into the 2nd Golota fight in the best shape of his life, only to get the living crap beat out of him. It would be interesting to see a jab contest against the Klitschkos and I'd love to see the outcome if it went to an inside fight. I would not discount Bowe. People say he was past it against Golota but the truth is Golota was just far superior.

"Best shape of his life" :rofl:rofl:rofl
He may have been a trim 235lbs, but he was still utterly shot-to-****.
1992 Bowe would brutally murder the massively overrated Golota.
