Hid behind the titles and fought Holyfield?? Was Lennox Lewis even held anywhere close to the same regard as Holyfield at that time? He showed how good he was at that time a few fights later against Mcall. So your hatred of Bowe stems purely from his defense against Ferguson? Maybe the fight was made because Ferguson was able to knock off Ray Mercer at that time, who was supposed to fight Bowe??

He only fought Holy because he was forced to. And like I said, it was a good style match up for him and he knew it.

No, he didn't fight Ferguson because he beat Mercer. He fought Ferguson because he was a chump who was scared to face a real opponent.

Have you ever seen any amateur boxing in your life?

That was neither unfair nor unconvincing. It was a straightforward stoppage of the kind that happens all the time in the am's. Not controversial in the slightest. Even Bowe and his corner knew it was a fair stoppage, look at their reactions.

WHose using him to prove greatness? Your proving to be a regular on Box records. If Wlad ever suffered the type of beatdown Gonzalez suffered at the hands of Bowe, he would have never fought again.

I did point out the reverse scenario, weak Bowe, strong Wlad, to show the silliness of it.

Since Corrie Sanders, nobody has used aggression effectively against Wlad. Whatever happened with Wlad's metabolism in the Brewster fight was not normal. It happens, marathon runners sometimes bonk, it has nothing to do with regular stamina issues. Bowe is slower on his feet than Sanders and that version of Wlad was horribly underprepared mentally. He didn't eben spar southpaws. The current version of Wlad would create a systematic gameplan with Manny and take into account all of Bowe's attributes. Wlad is faster than most people give him credit for and Bowe needs to get on the inside to win. Wlad has more options and while both have vulnerable chins, Bowe is simply more hittable.

Bowe is similar to Joe Frazier, both build legacies on one opponent with whom they happened to match up well. Wlad has beaten a wide variety of styles, Bowe has the great wins against Holyfield but that was a fighter who had only one option, to go to war.

Yeah the stars and planets aligned perfectly for Bowe to become champion. He steered clear of all threats and waited his turn to fight someone he knew he could beat because their styles matched up perfectly and like Bowe you knew it all along. Good call.:patsch

What about Sam Peter? Clearly Wlad has an issue when a fight gets rough.

Chuck full? WTF is that supposed to mean? Wladimir has 3 losses by TKO out of well over 50 fights.

Against? Thats a lot considering they all happend the same way in the prime of his career. He didnt fight competitively against a top tier fighter and lose, he lost to an array of journeymen and mid level contenders exposing a clear problem this guy has in fights.

'I looked into his [Bowe's] eyes and I saw fear.... I think he's going to sidestep me. I hope he doesn't.' Lennox Lewis

Wlad was not in his "Prime" during those fights, he's in that Prime now.

He's corrected those problems since then.

.....................and that still doesn't change the fact tha TooPretty said his resumé is "chock full" of these type losses.........................

What about Sam Peter? Will he be out of his prime when that problem happens again?
Proof will be when hes actually in a fight where boxing goes out the window. If he can come through Ill be a believer.
