But you'll notice Bowe didn't try that **** against Lewis when they were talking smake to each other. All Bowe would say was he'd fight Lewis any time anywhere, and look how that turned out. Chicken Bowe ducked him first chance he got. :yep

Yeah, he was a real tough guy SEVERAL YEARS after he was stopped.

At the time he was timid as a little doormouse.

Actions speak louder than words. Bowe bitched out of fighting Lennox even though he had a pre-agreement to fight him.

Were you even a boxing fan at the time? If so you'll know that the WBC stated that the winner of Bowe-Holy must fight the winner of Lennox-Ruddock. Bowe, like everyone else, assumed Ruddock would win so he accepted. As soon as Lennox *his daddy* *his master* won, his nuts shrank and he dumped the title and chose to fight a washed up 34 year old and a chump who had just gone 9-5.

:lol: You are correct, man. Anyone who watches Wlad fight and thinks "elite" is one ****ing shitty athlete or carrying some other "mental" agenda. Everyone else watches and thinks he's decent in certain areas but primarily how fortunate Wlad is to be larger than his opponents, in shape, and fighting "C" level athletes in an era when all the talent was competing in the big three sports.

Prime Bowe would wreck his world.

Based on the Holyfield and Golota fights, I think a cautious Wlad UD's Bowe and a determined Wlad stops him late. Again, based on the Holyfield and Golota fights, mainly the Holyfield fights.

    Two questions:

Have you ever heard of football?
Is everyone under cruiserweight a "C" level athlete?

    Nice

Golota was ****ing insane. Screw him. If he hadn't been such a nutter maybe he could have given us some great fights.

Can anyone direct me to some examples of prime Bowe? I'm curious, never really got into the guy but he definitely had some talent.

ROFLMAO Sure thats why Newman and Bowe renaged on the agreed fight wasnt it ?? Bowe was scared shitless of Lennox Lewis. Bowe remembered the olympic final. Newman saw the Lewis demolition of Ruddock. Thats why the cowards ditched the WBC belt & renaged
Gonzalez was a decent amateur but he was a diaster as a pro that fight meant nothing.
Bowe wasnt much better. Give him his due he did beat Holyfield in the first fight that was the only time I saw Bowe in shape. Who else of consequence did Bowe beat????? Heck Vander beat him in the return and would have beaten him again if he'd been fit.
The ONLY reason Bowe-Lewis never happened was because both Bowe & Newman KNEW!! Lennox would kick his fat butt BAD!!!!!:good

Yeah, because Bowe was stupid enough to hang in the trenches & fight Holy's fight.

When are you fools gonna learn to watch the fights before you comment on them?

really the only fights worth watching were coetzer (where he ball punched him so much the golota win was ironic), bert cooper, all three holyfield fights, ferguson and gonzalez. that's about it. the donald win is "known" but not a great fight or performance. again, he has 5 or 6 fights where he shows his potential

I have never seen a fighter score so many knock downs as Bowe. He knocked down Herbie Hide 7 times. Bowe knows knock outs.

Best post of the thread. Please post more.

Agreed. His chin is nothing special but it's criminally underrated. He has never been cleanly stopped.

Agreed, excellent post. I've been saying this **** for a while, glad to see someone else sees the fight for what it is.

These people see what they want to see. Honestly, the Klitschko-haters are worse than the Klitschko-nuthuggers.

Prime Bowe was a more complete fighter than Wlad. He had better upper body movement, ring movement, in-fighting ability, chin. Wladimir just jabs, with occasional rights and hooks. He still looks awkward when he moves around the ring and has no head movement.

Wlad is a great fighter against opponents who don't have the size, ability, or courage to try to get inside on him. He is also one of the most predictable fighters I've ever seen and that's why it took Sanders only a few minutes to figure him out. Prime Bowe beats Wladimir imo.
