All you clueless people that use Golota as a measuring stick of Bowes talent definitely never watched any other of his fights or have any clue. Thats like using McBride as a measuring stick for Tyson. Bowe's career was very short (over after the Golota fights), mainly due to his own lack of conditioning, but talentwise he was one of the best.
Wlad on the other hand has proven on four occasions hes completely lost in a real fight. Bowe's style took it to his opponent, and an easy slow paced outside boxing match would not have been possible for WLad against Bowe's style, so he would be forced into a situation he has shown on several occasions of not being able to handle.
Even Golota was forced to foul out on both occasions because he couldnt handle the resistance from a shot fighter.

are you implying the wars with Holyfield, one of the greatest boxing trilogies of all time, didn't take a whole hell of a lot out of Bowe, leave him as a true shell? When you make a comment like "3 years", you seem to discount what happened in those 3 years.

For ****'s sake... the thread starter used the video of Bowe beating Jorge Gonzalez as the reason why he would beat Wlad... yet the Gonzalez fight was just 13 months before Bowe fought Golota.:patsch

Then they like to forget how the "Bowe was out of shape" excuse was only used for the first fight against Golota. How Bowe dedicated himself to training... and came in against Golota in the second fight in the best shape of his life... at the same weight 235... that he weighed for the FIRST Fight against Holyfield... and his lowest weight since that fight. Yet... Golota still beat the brakes off of him.

Bowe is overrated. Simple as that.

seriously, this **** is embarassing. people haven't watched bowe's career. which is fair, not everyone has but don't comment on it then.

Kind of like being knocked out by Lamon Brewster..being ATG. Bowe never got diced by that caliber of opponent. Golata beat his ass but through his insane mental frustration of not stopping him pulled the most blatant and unsportsmen like boxing performances of all time.

:good Well said. A prime Bowe would make Wlad go down faster than George Michael in a men's bathroom.

i've said it myself before he got his **** together for EXACTLY two fights: ferguson and gonzalez. that's it. when he wasn't training, when he wasn't focused he was crap. by the time he fought golota, training and focus didn't matter: he was shot. ali was at a good weight for holmes, didn't help him much then either

Nobodie's fault but his own for overlooking Golota.

He knew what to expect in the second fight yet the result was the same.

Golota not only killed his career but also killed half his damn brain.

I love how the 28-29 year old Bowe was just so past it, and washed up according to some people. As if a professional fighter can't go through a couple of tough fights without it ruining their careers.:rofl

Not even talking about Wlad at all. So I don't know how that would bother me, :nut.

Don't care what Golota did after, he kicked his ass anyway.
