I think it was obvious that past prime Rigo has 0 chance at lightweight.

I agree. I also think Loma is naturally too long for him and with their skill level being off the charts it's the bigger man who'd prevail each time they'd fight.

If Rigo wasn’t the faster, more skilled fighter being the smaller guy in the fight that did happen... it would only be worse for Rigo the smaller Lomachenko is.

Even though maybe Loma would still win, I just wanted to make a point that it’s not really fair to keep roasting him because he lost that fight.

He took that fight for a payday, and he gave up because he didn’t want to suffer any brain damage.

Obviously that trash talk in the media wasn’t him, because he doesn’t speak English and he never looked like a McGregor/Mayweather type of guy.

Still one of the best amateur boxers of all time, who used to be P4P top 3, and as a Cuban he had to go through on a lot of **** during his life

 Wait, why is Rigo again facing Loma at a weight he has never fought at?
Loma is always going to be bigger than Rigo. There is no way around that.

Wasn't Rigo 124 on fight night some years ago? He could have made Flyweight if true.

Lomachenko proved that size didn’t even need to play a part in beating Rigo. He did it with smarts, reflexes and speed.

Rigo even tried to resort to fouling on many occasions during their fight. Not even that helped him.

Loma > Rigo at any weight, at anytime and anywhere.

Rigo would have never lost to a fat Salido.

Loma nomased Rigo and weight had nothing to do with it. Loma stood in front of Rigo and Rigo could not touch him. Rigo is a one armed fighter. Loma took away his left and all Rigo had left was fouling to resort to, his usual plan B. But fouls didn’t work on Loma either, so Rigo quit. The weight excuse is used by guys who overhyped Rigo. It’s never made any sense.

This is for Gil Cuckzalez who makes excuses for E.E. fighters loses and disadvantages but ignore when they set up fights which they have the advantage. HBO cried like hoes after Loma loss to Salido about his weight and now here you are saying its an excuse for Rigo fans. You are a history revisionist man and if I had the time I would dig through your digital garbage and pull up your complaints about Salido's weight advantage over Loma when in reality he got his ass kicked and he had no adjustment for it.

Probably right, but Rigo always impressed me more. Rigo dominating Donaire would be equivalent to Loma dominating Mikey Garcia, and beating Amagasa who had a six and a half inch height advantage was massive. Plus, Rigo always seemed more athletic and undersized for his weight class.

Loma wins, you can say all you want about age, size. But styles played a big part in that fight and Rigo simply had no answers.

I'm picking Rigo, I actually think he's the more talented boxer.

Question is, could Loma safely make 118 at the time. I really doubt he could.
If he made the weight without too much issues (again, really doubt that) he would win quite clearly. But I think he would enter the ring on a stretcher, being severely drained.
