You have now been a boxing fan for 7 months. I hope your education speeds up because you are a tiresome little daft dick at the moment.

7 months and counting you empty-headed adolescent novice. Perhaps if you are on this forum a bit longer, you will realize that being born on the same stretch of land as someone else does not mean you have to swear blind they are the greatest thing since hot pants.

Calzaghe is an elite fighter and a rare one with serious ability, that can't be denied regardless of how old RJJ and Hopkins were. Hopkins might be old but still a dangerous fight for anyone, wake me up if anyone beats him anytime soon. Hell, people were voting him to beat Adamek when that was rumored and I, a Hopkins fan, wasn't too confident with it.

Think it's fair to say that the Calzaghe/Jones fight proved that RJJ would have destroyed him if they met prime for prime.

Absolutely 100% spot on my friend, well said. Prime Jones beats the living **** out of prime Slappy, it wouldn't be close.

Slappy is the biggest con-man in boxing for me, his resume is pure **** and he waited 10 years to face his 2 biggest challenges and even when he fought them he got a taste in the early rounds of what would have happened had he dared challenge them in their respective primes. Hopkins beat Slappy in everyones eyes but the judges and even though Jones was a shell he still managed to floor the guy. I can't believe people even think this is a question, Roy Jones was a supremely talented fighted in his prime and would have systematically taken Slappy Joe apart, it wouldn't have gone 8 rounds.

Calzaghe is NOT an elite fighter, take away the Lacy (**** fighter) and Kessler (still unproved) wins and what did he actually do?

Hopkins beat Slappy in everyones eyes but the judges, and the ghost of Roy Jones nearly KO'd the bum. That tells you all you need to know.

I agree with your last sentence though - one of the sickest sights in my life was seeing Slappy mocking Roy in that ring, because he wouldn't have ****ing dared to do anything like that a few years before, he'd have gotten his lights switched off. **** Slappy Joe, the biggest bull**** artist, coward and all round **** I've ever had the misfortune to watch in a boxing ring.

Untie that Union Jack flag you have round your neck, and try to be a boxing fan and not a British fan.

It has nothing to do with being dropped, that wasn't even a proper punch it was bone to bone, I'm actually shocked/impressed he got up and recovered.

I'm shocked you seem to be stunned that I'm picking RJJ if he was in his prime. Did you notice that despite RJJ being beyond shot, not as active and lacked the movement(which made him great) he was still able to steal some rounds and make it look competitive?. RJJ was able to land some serious bombs whenever he timed then despite being forced to resort to one punch at a time. The only thing RJJ had at that stage was experience and speed. The movement, stamina, activity wasn't even there.

RJJ is an all-time favorite of mine and I didn't enjoy watching that fight at all, if anything it proved what Jones would have done to him prime for prime. Can you believe that some people actually think Calzaghe would beat him prime for prime based on that fight?, I knew there were idiots in the world but it can't go THAT far with perfect evidence(their fight).

In reality though Calzaghe just did what he was supposed to do, RJJ wanted the fight/payday so they made it happen, if anything he helped RJJ and gave him a chance rather than overlooking him and putting him on ignore. Calzaghe is an elite fighter though as his ability can't be denied. The guy had defense, speed, movement, insane stamina and skills, those can't be taken away from him regardless of how good you think Lacy or Kessler are.
